  • I begged my mother for a set of crimpers back in the 1980's. Now in my early 40's my hair is bright purple. I largely blame Fuzzbox.

  • Are you actually the video maker? I'm interested...

  • This was the 1st song I ever heard from them and fell in love with them. Had their albums on cassette for the car radio. Great memories!

  • I can't believe I found this on youtube :)) I remember buying this on vinyl when it came out.. There was a free photo story comic with the record called "My Slug" and if I remember right the B side was a truly special acappella version of Bohemian Rhapsody.. :))) I probably still have it somewhere..

  • Well I'm relieved to see that the Fuzzbox were not a figment of my imagination......I grew up in the cornfields of Indiana, so that's what people used to tell me then ...but I told em "How can itt be a figment of my imagination if I went to the record store & bought it?"

  • These guys rock! See the music executives of today keep pushing out garbage to people & calling it "music", they don't know shit.

  • i like how the dudes who hit on her look hopelessly out-of-date now, yet the ladies look as vogue as ever. ( ps i'm not gay haha)

  • i wonder what kind of drugs there were in the late 80s UK indie club scene

  • @nicky2coats

    I'd tell you but I don't remember.

  • Tina's my best friends mum!

  • I remember this video and Hollow Girl on MTV way back. I fell in love and also with a girl with pink long hair. I cried listening to Hollow Girl a few times. But the album after. Too Bananarama sounding.

  • love it

  • AHHAHAHAHAHHAHA !!!

  • brillant and original band!

  • pure class

  • Possibly one of the hottest looking bands of the 80s. Man are they gorgeous. And great beat too!

  • Quite simply, one of the best songs ever recorded. Ok, they were seen a bit of a joke back in the day - maybe fairly, but that may have been them taking the piss out of ''us''. But this song - pure genius. Re finding ''Bostin Steve Austin'' on CD; good luck. I've been looking for it on eBay for years. Search for their version of ''Bohemian rhapsody'' if you can; out of this world. Was on one of the cassette singles, iirc. Maybe the same one as ''Fuzzy ramblings''; the less said there...

  • Amen.

  • I am desperately after any ORIGINAL Fuzzbox,Sigue Sigue Sputnik, & Transvision Vamp Tour Dates/Band line-up T-Shirts from 1986-1989..(No repros!)

Large or Extra Large size in good condition.Email me and we can go from there

    Cheers

    Stralight321

  • I love this song. It still sounds hot now.

  • This song is so cool. Ah the memories

  • jr. high school for me....that little drum beat she played in this song is bad ass...I wish Fuzzbox would have pulled a train on me...for realz.

  • Tina is a technolgy teacher at swanshurst school she is my form tutor :D

  • If that's true, please say hello to Tina from me. It would be lovely to hear from her.

  • That is too cool...I bet she's still great.

  • @crazymole123 you are privileged if thats the case, my gawd wait till i tell guys in the states.

  • It's official, I bloody LOVE youtube!! I've watched Fuzzbox (whose first album I played to death when it came out lol), Bauhaus, Skeletal Family and many more. Sigh...ah the good old days...I feel SO old!!

  • Does anyone know what Tina's doing these days?

  • She's so cool and purdy! ^_^ Lol, and her songs are awsome well their's can't leave out the rest of the band can I? =S

  • I totally loved this video!! It was soooo great back in the day! Thanks for the 80's!!

  • We've got a Fuzzbox and we're not afraid to use it!!!!!!!

  • They remind me of my female friends back in the 70's/80's in our local Punk club. The line dancing is hilarious and so not done, like it :-) Guess they knew how to make fun.

  • i remember being really jealous of Mags at one point cos she was dating Rob Newman.

  • remind me of strawberry switchblade.

  • Brilliant. They're like a female Sigue Sigue Sputnik.

  • Fuzzbox > Dragonforce

  • I love this song, oh the memories

  • I'll second that. Although it does make me feel a bit dated.

  • cool :o

  • Omg, I forgot they line danced in this video! lols

Love the Fuzzies... brings back some great memories.

  • According to their website there's some new material and... gigs!!... coming soon, God i want to go. only 3 of the girls, but it'll still be great

  • I hope Mags is there she was hhhhhhhhoooooott loved them in 80's and still listen to them now.

  • no i fancy the drummer not

  • OMG. I'm crying! This is fantastic! So happy to have found it! FuzzBox Rocks!

  • I loved this group. They werent great musicians but they had a great spirit an a quirkiness about them. Id rather listen to this than all the polishd over produced crap.

  • You are so right...my feelings exactly..

  • I loved this group. They werent great musicians but they had a great spirit and a quirkiness about them. I would rather listen to this than all the polished over produced crap.

  • Oh man! I have been waiting to see this video again for many years...I first saw it back in the early glorious heyday of "120 Minutes". Those were the daze...

  • I still have a crush on Mags :P

  • In about 20 years you'll grow out of it.

  • Which one is Mags? Is she the one with red hair?

  • Yes, she's yummy

  • Absolutely AMAZING! They really were great as is the video. Beautiful colors!

  • Fantastic band before they sold out! I watch the video and i still get fizzy pants! The first album songs really rock too!

  • The first album was and still is brilliant.

Unique sound....great production by Rob Lloyd.

  • Any idea where i can get the album on CD?

    Cheers!

  • Actually no....ebay would be your best bet.

  • As far as I'm aware, "Bostin' Steve Austin" was never released on CD - I think the best you can do is buy the Greatest Hits CD + DVD from Amazon - just search for Fuzzbox and it's called "Look at the Hits on That"

  • thats my dads cousion

  • I've got a FUZZBOX and I'm gonna use it!

  • GIRLS ALOUD have BLATANTLY ripped off Fuzzbox! Brian Higgins balls should be put on the choppin board!

  • Possibly true, but the punishment you propose seems a little harsh, given that he took a good idea and made it work.

  • That first album is like the grittier sister of Strawberry Switchblade.

  • It was a seminal record....10 years too early though. No-one has sounded like them since.

  • No no one really has, though I can think of a few bands who were influenced by them such as "Love Club", and "Queen Adreena".

  • I loved this band but the back lash that they were a 80's post punk joke band always pissed me off.LOVE IS THE SLUG BABY.WHO CARES WHAT "THEY" SAY...

  • Fab, Fab, Fab... I dig this song greatly. I love their out of tone, unpolished guitar post punk funky girl stance!...

  • My thoughts exactly. Unfortunately, they went and polished everything after this...but it was good while it lasted.

  • Wow... they sure don't make groups like this anymore... they're totally fab!

  • is this the group that did 'Loving You is like Winter in Alaska'?

  • I actually still have this cassette tape. Havent seen the video since the late eighties.

  • i loved that Cassette - i must've played it to death. Gotta love those close harmonies, and i think there was some talking too on the tape which was fun. Great band, but when they went all professional it was inevitable they wouldn't last long.

  • Never heard this one before, great song. Love the guitarist with the "Flock Of Seagulls" hair-do.

  • Yeah Tina was just too cute.

  • love this... rox xxx

  • lol i used to date mags when they hung around with The Mission (UK)

  • ViXX is singing with a new band ViXX and the Kicks.

    She still rocks.

(and they did rules & regulations which blasted me right back to 86)

  • great song and really fun video! i've been looking for cd's but it's tough. ^^;

  • Great video. Great song. Fuzzbox blew my socks off back in the days when I wore odd socks that didn't get come off very much, so ta :-0

    b r e a k i n g n e w s c o u k

  • Don't know what you were doing with come on your socks, but cheers anyway.

  • It was an accident. I was listening to 'Boastin' Steve Austin,' whilst playing Twister. Wasn't the first time... What do you do on a Tuesday night?

  • damn....my friend borrowed they 1st album "big bang" never give it back to me...T_T

  • The first, and by far the best, album was Bostin Steve Austin, which was original and quite brilliant.

  • saw them when they first started out. I had a monstrous haircut too at the time!! they eventually sold out! shame...

  • love fuzzbox reminds me of being a kid.

  • I've been so much listening to this. But never have seen their videos before. I knew they were some of the most sweet & funny girls of the 80's though !!!

  • Never heard of Fuzzbox? Shame on you! I love the way they still sang in their accents 'Siogn'! Vix is still going by the way and gigging!

  • ah this vid always cracked me up. the bottomless bag and when jo tries to walk in the high heels hahaa

  • Amusingly, Tina didn't get the bottomless bag thing at all. And Jo really couldn't walk in heels. It was a fun day.

  • hahah yet she laughs when she takes the cup of coffee out!
