Taiwanese language songs had revive and really rocks nowadays. Many new & younger singers sung in Minnan language too. In fact the first "RAP (hip-hop)" song in Chinese was sung in Taiwanese Language by a group called LA Boyz and Machi who was based in US during the early 1990's; b4 even Cantonese and Mandarin. Due to the Taiwanese rapping" popularity & success, Cantonese and later Mandarin rap song enter the market after the Taiwanese. Go read in Wikipedia for more information. TQ.

She also bagged the prestigious award in 2007 as she won the "Best Female Taiwanese Singer" in the recent Golden Melody Award (June 2007) Taiwan, the award equivalent of Grammy Award in for English Language. Check out in YouTube, she had many nice songs sung by her as well. Her full name is Jeannie Hsieh Ching-yan (谢金燕). U can check it out.
