There needs to be more work around human rights and legal rights for parents with learning difficulties. Having an intellectual impairment does not directly correlate to a parent harming a child and yet, that is the reason for children being removed "to prevent harm". The Department of Child Safety / Families requires more training and work with assessment providers who also are qualified in this area of work.
