  • LOL...WHY..did I know my post about "plainative wail" would NOT be allowed? Anyone who was at Arts, Beats, & Eats that saw Alto Reed heard him tell a TOTALLY differant story about how that riff was born..no BS story about "film noire" or the streets of New York..in fact..i'm sure SOMEONE posted his performance of that from A, E, & B......hit me at carronron2000@yahoo....

  • Funny..when I saw Alto Reed at Arts, Eats, & Beats, his version that day of how that riff was born was that Seger told him he wanted a "plainative wail" on the sax & Alto played the opening riff...

  • Probably the most recognizable sax riff ...

  • This is great been a Seger fan for years, from Lincoln Park , seen Looking Back in Dec 09 did a wonderful job. Of course Alto is great ! One of a kind. Great supporter for Michigan bands. Reconized him right away when he played with George Thourgood this summer (he was a sub for someone sick) pointed him out at the first note. Great Job Guys keep entertaining us. Cathy & Tom from Lincoln Park

  • a tad too slow.

  • It was under control and built nicely to a pace that was only 4 bpm off the record.

  • I am so mad at myself for not going to see Alto play with Looking Back that night!! This is my absolute favorite song in the whole world!! Thank you so much for posting this!!!

  • I love this song, I am so mad that I didn't get to see him play this in person!! I had a chance too!!

  • Don't miss this Friday's show at Tina's as Alto makes another appearance with Lookin' Back at a "pre-birthday" party for Bob. See above!
