My question to you is, did you save your file via saurick's server? if you didn't, I'm not sure if you will be able to and I'm not sure if this 3.1.3 firmware will change your baseband.

yo when i had 3.0.1 and it was jailbroken i contacted cydia and a week later is said this device has a ecid sfile or watever but i still cant downgrade and when i tried to jailbreak for 3.1 wit ur other vid, it didnt work and now i have an iphone wit 3.1, unjailbroken

Downgrade don't downgrade your baseband, what baseband you at right now? YOu might be able to use fuzzyband to downgrade your baseband

You have to add saurik's server info to your host file.

i already added the server info, but when i try to restore in DFU mode itunes said restore and update to 3.1.2

You can do the same thing with 3.0.1 to 3.0 one your files were saved on the saurik server via cydia.

Yes you can, but only if you had saved your files on Saurik's server....

Honestly if you saved your file via saurik's server it can't get deleted, unless you didn't save it on the server only on your pc. You can still try the restore process I explain and if it doesn't work then it wasn't saved on his server. However, you might want to be careful because if your phone get stuck you will only be able to restore to 3.1.2 and thats not a good idea right at this moment.

that itunes beta has expired it will not work, however i think that something might work, i dont have an iphone 3gs i have 3g, but my friend has 1 and he wont let me do this: download iphone browser v1.9.1.0(SSH BY USB) it works with 3g os3.1 and just erase it completely and then try to restore as 3.01 in itunes if this works let me know, I want to do it but my friend is afraid to let me do this and i dont know if any 1 has tried it

Please Help!I have accidentally upgraded to 3.1 on itunes.I saved my ECID on sauriks server months ago.Before the upgrade I had 3.0 and want to downgrade. I have vista and go to the host file and added sauriks server but in Itunes I still get the error, this device isn't eligible for the request build.I open notebook as administrator as well and save the changes.When i go to cmd.exe and type in ping gs.apple..com it does not come up as Sauriks server.I cant find a video on this.Can u help?

I heard downgrading is only possible for phone that upgrade from 3.0 to 3.1

No you can't downgrade, You just have to wait for a Jailbreak for phones with preinstalled 3.1 on it.

I have a lot of viewers follow my steps exactly has I directed and it work fine, so if you can't downgrade there's only one of two reasons. Your file wasn't save on the server or you miss a step somewhere. If error appear on your phone, take a pic and post on photobucket and give me the link and I will tell you what is the problem.

The only way you won't be able to downgrade back is if your File wasn't save on saurik's server. If he only get to save your 3.0 ID you will only be able to downgrade to 3.0. One mistake I see people make when downgrading is that they forget to make sure phone is in DFU mode.

ya i can't restore either it's telling me that im not eligible to do so but i copied and pasted that link to the bottom of the host file and im using the 3.0.1 firmware for the restore but its still not working.

it will not restore for me , I had a 3.0 firmware, I have my file on saurik's server, I upgraded to 3.1 and now when I try to restore after I get it to dfu mode it tells me this firmware is not compatible with your device

Are you on 3.1 right now? If yes. Then put your phone in DFU mode and make sure you are running Itunes 8.2 and then Click shift(pc) Restore(mc) anc click restore and then select the 3.0 firmware - it will run the restore for a few minutes then you will get a 1500 error message, click ok and then phone will be in recovery mode, do the same thing again - same error this time close everything, open quickpwnbeta5 and follow the remaining steps there. Please let me know if this helps..

Pre-installed 3.1 firmware on Iphone is a issue. Saurik's server only accept 3.0 & 3.0.1 files at this time. There's no tested Jailbreak for Iphone 3Gs with 3.1 Pre-installed. Sorry! The dev team is working on a Jailbreak for people in your position.

Oh one more thing in relate to question 1. It will 100% work on all 3Gs if you're sure that you save your file via cydia to saurik's server.

In relate to question 2, since you bought your phone with 3.1 (3Gs) I am not sure because I never tried it on a new phone with 3.1 preinstalled. You can try, you have nothing to lose really, you can always go back to 3.1 anytime [IMPORTANT] make sure you add the saurik's info in your host file before you do, if it work let me know.

In related to the first question, yes It worked on my 3Gs and that's the reason why I created this video because I know there's a lot of people out there who accidentally update to 3.1. If not busy I will upgrade again to 3.1 and then show you my phone in both version then downgrade back.

I have a quick question. I'm not a legit carrier and I don't have At&t sim how do I plus in to itunes to recognize my phone?

Once the IPhone is plugged into your computer Itunes should automatically detect it, if it don't, you might have to reset your phone, then use Redsn0w to activate it and then use a T-Mobile sim or which ever sim the phone can detect.

The phone was made by apple so if the phone is working right, Itunes will always tect it.
