2012 marks the 100th anniversary since John Carter was created by Edgar Rice Burroughs. I hope this movie is such a success that Disney makes a trilogy of it.
I'm not trying to say this story is the same as avatar, but I am going to say that the green martians are similar to the navi in the sense that they are larger than human creatures, who are primitive, and live on mars-size planets.
