  • if you could see a qub 1977 running you would say what a shame the company didnt survive as they used a mikuni as std and motoplatt mag the bike runs very crispy the 500 experimental bike was 70bhp and frightend several people and

violent aceleration the goverment didnt back them but like you say japs got the support

  • Thanks for posting. The annual Greeves Days in Pozo, CA is a lot of fun, and you'll see some fine bikes, too, as well as some good old-timers-action on Sunday during the trials. I've had more fun on Greeves motorcycles over the years -- since 1967 -- than should be legal.

  • Nobody raced a Greeves on the continent after '70, let alone seriously. But in their day they were, like DOT, equal to HVA and CZ, arguably, DOT was superior to the lot of them. But both GB companies were one-man shows and they didn't find backers, invest and develop. The Japs did. With American free loans. "Doomed. doomed, we're doomed!" to quote lovely John Laurie of Dad's Army. Sod the idle rich in GB, they rule us 'as a god-given right', but don't know their ass from their elbow.
