Any pro fighter, especially in Muay Thai that has made it past the gym and local levels through training since they were 6 years old could kick any smart alleck internet kid's ass any day, or any MMA fighter for that matter. I was reading up on a MMA group's trip to Thailand and their bout with just local gym people, not pros, local guys, and all 4 of them got knocked out, 2 taken to the hospital and only 1 made it past the first round.

sanda rules are crap, clinches over 2-4seconds are not allowed, elbows and knees are sometimes not allowed,and they always rely on the throws to win... the rules is just very sport based and technical, not very satisfying
knees are almost always allowed. The fact that throwing is a big component i would say, makes it a more wholistic fighting competition than kickboxing. As for elbows, it'd be nice, but most muay thai fighters don't throw elbows that often anyway.
