people who are hating on this beauty of a caddy from a great year have one thing in common. They sold they're caddy to somebody who fixed it up and now they see it cruisin around town. They were too stupid or too broke to maintain it properly. I speak from experience. I bought mine for 800 bucks w/92000 miles cause the owner was too ignorant to replace the O2 sensor.
I just recently got a '93 Cadillac Deville off Craigslist. I'm already in love and I'm willing to spend a little extra to put this grand old duchess of a car back in good order.
I own a 1992 Sedan Deville, same body style. Those 1990's Cadillac Devilles' were the best. Early to mid 90s' were the years to get, with the 4.9 Liter V8, before they went to the Northstar engine. Other than the cost of fuel (due to it's not-so-great fuel economy), my Deville has been relatively inexpensive to own and keep up maintenance-wise. I still have the gold keys and the owner's manual with the leather cover. I will be getting a new OEM remote keyless entry fob for it though
Anyone know what type of Cadillac was shown on the movie Shaft ( with Samuel L. Jackson.)? The one Busta Rhymes ( I Think ?) drove at the ending of the movie? I fell in in love with that car.
Nice. Too bad the post-93 DeVilles weren't as good. I had a '99 that needed a new Northstar engine after it passed 100K miles. Seems the aluminum block wasn't designed to properly handle temperature fluctuations.
I own a 1989 Deville, this is the best Cadillac. High quality components, long service life, trouble free. Still going strong after 20 years and 120,00 miles. The 89-93 Devilles were truly some of the best quality cars GM ever made.
