I absolutely adore figo and he is one of my top players in history but my only criticism of him is he takes a bit long and holds the ball for a bit too long. its evident when u see zidane and these other great players thru out the video just standing there watching and waiting to get the ball. its a shame to leave a £47m player standing there (zidane). he needed to release the ball earlier and not stop the flow of play. hold the ball for just about the right amount of time.

It seems like Ronaldo practices stepovers (while the ball is not moving) at home before coming into the game and show them off without the intention of going past any players... Figo improvises on his stepovers depending on the situation to slalom past defenders. Similar technique, but Figo executes it in style

Nice skills but I find it more fun to watch wingers like Giggs and Robben who would just get away from defenders the first time without having to trick the same defender again and again. It was probably cos they were faster they didn't have to do this like Figo did.

He scored less, but he was more of an playmaker and still scored a very good amount of goals...

He got lots of assists and he played winger in a 4-4-2 he had responsibility defensively too (Messi and Ronaldo have NO defensive responsibility)

At the time of his peak, Zidane was more popular due to France's astonishing performances, but had ZIzou played in Portugal and Figo with other French talents, I'm sure he would be regarded as much better than Zidane.

C. Ronaldo and Messi are young player of a different time. Figo's decade was from 1995-2005, their's will probably be from 2005-2015. ;)
