  • Netchip clockwork mod recovery 2 here db.tt g4rvA9EM

  • @NZtechfreak Is tha true that the NOTE is the best smart-phone in the world?

  • @akarshazam00 Absolutely. Unless you have midget hands.

  • haha this note is from Poland... "plus" is polish GSM xD

  • @codi277 Yup, grey market import

  • @NZtechfreak Got same one just yesterday xD happy me

  • PLEASE HELP ME, TRY TO ANSWER THIS QUESTION; WHEN YOU PRESS THE BUTTON CAMERA WHEN WINDOWS PHONE 7 IS LOCKED IT TAKES YOU TO THE CAMERA SO YOU CAN TAKE THE PICTURE, BUT WHAT IS THE FUNCTION CALLED? TAKING QUICK PHOTOS???

  • @TEAMGREYCSS um, you might need to ask someone who uses a Windows Phone dude.

  • @NZtechfreak uhmmm, that's a problem. I don't know anyone, but i really would like to win windows phone, could you ask someone? I am currently looking for answer from everyone...

  • @TEAMGREYCSS Perhaps try @MichaelxHell on Twitter, he's a WP7 user (small etiquette point: you're more likely to get a helpful answer if you don't ask with ALL CAPS!)

    :)

  • @NZtechfreak thanks :)

  • and also if you could tell me the best keyboard app as the stock app kinda sucks and a bit laggy too

and your top 5 paid apps + top 5 paid games!!!

thank u thank u thank u thank u thanks mate!!!!!!!

may god bless u! and a very happy new year

  • @nightriders92 I like Swiftkey Tablet X for the Note a lot as keyboards go. For app recommendations check the blog!

  • Dude, my Galaxy Note is slightly laggy (very minor) but its annoying me..its usually when u click an icon like opening an app

    i'm running 2.3.6 with baseband version = N7000XXKK5

i've tried with kies, but it says that this is the latest software...can you please guide me how to install the latest Kl7 software as i suck at these things..not at all as good as you guys..

thanks for your help, i highly appreciate it

  • @nightriders92 you'll want a custom ROM to sort that - I'm currently on Rocket ROM and finding that good and vastly smoother than stock.

  • @NZtechfreak lets say if i wanna get Rocket Rom..ofcourse i will have to Root my Note first..

So during the process, is my data, gallery, contacts, text messages, memos, and apps n customization gonna get wiped away since ive worked on it for more than a month : /

  • @nightriders92 You can keep it all - just back everything up with Titanium Backup (there is a guide at the blog for backing up your Rooted Android device).

  • bro~ how to hook up your ps3 controller to your Note?

i can't get my sixaxis controller work on my Note,it crashed during the compatible checks...

    Please advice...

  • @setsunakaeru Try following the guide over at the blog, I didn't do anything extra (I am seeing some reports of problems on newer firmwares though, so it may be that Sixaxis or Note updates broke something here - I have yet to look into it myself yet but hopefully will get time to do that shortly - for now try following our guide, since that worked for me).

  • @NZtechfreak Thx~ i will dig into your blog for the info...

  • How about some help with Mac users? =\

  • @Alexdadoof Would love to except I have no Mac and no access to a Mac, take a look over at XDA (I expect it can be done from within a virtual windows environment, as that's what I've seen others doing with previous Samsung phones in the past).

  • Good! Now all it needs is a fully working port of Maemo5, since Android is completely fucking useless.

  • DarkyRom is creating Galaxy Note Custom Rom HD

  • @MrDivinesimplicity Yeah, I see some posts at XDA - good news!

  • Thanks for the excellent vids mate. I have been waiting for a worthy successor to my HD2. your vids show me this is it haha.

androidNZ is a very cool site too. Keep us posted on developments on the note.

    Cheers

  • hello! i bought this galaxy note here in china where i work, and it got pre installed chinese apps on it,i wanna get rid of,i learned the best way was to root the phone,im a newbie is this safe for me to try?thanks alot!

  • @voxmarcray Definitely don't do this Root method - there is a better method in our other Root guide video, and also a written guide at the blog. Several people who said they are newbies and followed the guide successfully.

  • @NZtechfreak thank you....oh well gotta find a betterway then....

  • @voxmarcray I'm confused, I just told you where you get a better way! Check the newer Root guide video in my channel and follow the written guide at the blog!

  • Nice

  • @Nzteckfreak

Thanks for the reply. I wait till cm7 is available. I be sorted then.

  • @Nzteckfreak

I rooted my phone. But how can i get the wiimote connecting. I got a error in both wiimote controller app and bluez ime. Are you running a custom rom.

  • @crualfoxhound WiiMotes still don't work with Samsung's custom BT stack unfortunately (although the author of WiiRemote Controller has been working on that problem for some time, I haven't seen progress as yet). PS3 controllers do work via the siaxaxis controller app as shown in this video (Phonejoy's and iControlPads will also work).

  • Just a quick heads up that there is a better Root method now that DOES NOT increase the flash counter (important for warranty). Video guide here in our YouTube channel, written guide with required files etc at the blog.

  • Thanks for the guide, but could you do a zergrush guide, since I read somewhere that method doesn't void warranty

  • @lokohim Zergrush guide will up sometime in next couple of days, just did this method with the second Note that I have. It's also super easy.

  • @NZtechfreak cool cant wait

  • @lokohim No problem!

  • Hi i also live in new zealand and i was wondering if you paid import taxes when you ordered from clove.

  • @flamer358 If you order by Royal Mail from them then you may not (no way to predict if you'll randomly get picked up for GST though with Royal Mail). If you order shipping by DHL then you definitely will have to cough up.

  • When was it released?! In what country is it available and how much?

  • @mgs911 Was released this week in several locations. You can get it to virtually anywhere in the world from Clove Technologies.

  • Is there possibly a way to connect a wireless xbox 360 controller instead?

  • @SharpShooterrrrr Not that I'm aware of for the Note, this is using the Sixaxis Controller app, don't think anyone has made an equivalent app for the Xbox controller yet). On Honeycomb devices xbox ones will work.

  • @NZtechfreak On Honeycomb devices, do you still need to plug in that usb receiver for the wireless xbox 360 controller?

  • @SharpShooterrrrr Yep, you plug in (the controls are infinitely better using a wired gamepad connection, just like you're on an actual console!

  • @SharpShooterrrrr Ice Cream Sanwich should work with.

  • @Piotrek7654321 Yep, ICS has been promised for the Note.

  • Dude. Where did you get the Note from? Is it released in Europe? Hows the GPU strength? Is Shadowgun running without compressing textures...or forcing them to 16-bit? Do you need to root to get MHL for HDMI to work?

I so want that phone. It's beautiful looking!

  • @djbneozen It's parallel imported from Asia somewhere, not sure. No Root required for MHL, just need the adapter. Shadowgun is running there without any reduction of graphics quality in CF3D settings. Same GPU as the SGSII but with 1.5Ghz dual core instead of 1.2Ghz - in other words great (but no longer class leading with the iPhone 4S trumping it now).

  • @NZtechfreak How does the iPhone 4s have a better GPU?

I still want it. Best Android phone on the planet. the second it get's an official update to Android ICS, so that the ROMS can be created from the official 4.0 and kernel release, I'm buying one.

  • @djbneozen I think it uses the same GPU as the iPad, which is better than the Mali. No reason to get too hung up on specs though - and if you are then console yourself with the following: bigger screen, higher resolution, faster clocked CPUs, more RAM, better browser with full flash, better video playback, USB OTG, MHL...

  • @NZtechfreak Drool. AND crazy long life battery at 2500 Mah right? I heard it can go 9 straight hours of HD video play back.

  • @djbneozen Yeah, that's what Engadget found on testing, forgot about that - if true and reproducible that is epic!
