Sounds like a great goal & idea. With a lot of planning and/or a companion rider I'm sure you can make it. A friend's brother rode from the Mexican border in Arizona to the Canadian border in Washington this spring & loved it. He does ride a lot & spent 6 months training & preparing however. Hope it works out for you.
That would be REALLY fun.
