Umm, you tourists are dumb. If you look on the map, there are parts of lake shoots that are more to the right "skiers left" that are a lot easier than the normal chutes, and with hardly any rocks.

This looks like Imperial Bowl before the superchair was installed. The Lake Chutes are skiers (or boarders) right from there.
