@afeuston I have a theory cuz I love this song too and play it at acoustic "cover" gigs although most people don't know it. I think in the production, for pop radio tatstes it may be a little too "back-beaty", know what i mean. Like they could have played the chorus straight with a big pop/rock sort of flavor. The song kind of twitches along, again, I love it like that but it may have been a little too sort of "studdery" for mainstream. Sorry about the horrible adjectives!

I second that....it appears to have the right commercial mix for a pop sucess. But for some reason it did not get a lot of air time. I can only think that the release coincided with some other hit by a more known band that month.
