Supergirl, Young X-Men, and Firebreather - Comic Book Reviews for 2/22/09

The five different crossovers is why I dropped Action Comics. I started reading when it was discreete arcs and read it through New Krypton. The giant crossover with two other titles didn' do it for me and I stopped reading all things "Super."

Have you guys read the second Mini Marvels digest ? ( Mini Marvels Secret Invasion ) Trust me, it's just as great ( if not better ) as the first digest. Especially the short story " Hawkeye and the beanstalk " is hilarious...

Honestly, we haven't changed the quality of the videos at all; YouTube just isn't allowing access to the HD versions... which is weird. Anyone have tips on how to get 'em back, please write us and we'll fix it asap.

Pete's "been on and off with Supergirl"? The lucky sod. I've been picking up all the Super -books of late but not Supergirl. The New Krypton story is over. Why DC keep putting the Triangle numbers on the covers is beyond me.

Married Pete is much more mellow than single Pete, Superwoman is Lois' sister, you heard it here first. Was loving all super books but have now dropped them all EXCEPT supergirl. Well written and beautifully rendered, it was my pick of the week!

Supergirl is great, there is a lot of deapth in the character, but recently i thin the run has failed a little, I mean I care more about new krypton then superwoman... but the whole run of superwoman is wicked good

The problem with most of Teen heroe books is they make the characters grow up too quick which defeats the point

I don't read either of these titles. I stil miss Young Avengers. A YA-YXM combo book would rock!

NXM > YXM >(prospecting) NM. That's just my opinion. Marvel too often like having fodder mutants around, despite having this whole finite mutants thing. It's like Marvel can'y have too many active teenager based titles.

If I only watched this before calm reviews then I would agree with some of the comments below, but I love the three guys together because it is hilarious and they usually still get most of their points out.

I absolutely love the show, but there's a strange phenomenon I'm feeling that I just can't shake, and can't help but feel bad for feeling it: This show works so much better when there's only two of you. It doesn't matter which two, the show is equal quality no matter the combination. But everything runs so much smoother between only two, rather than the three always stepping on each others toes. THAT BEING SAID I still love watching the show.

That is so true, i agree totally. However the show is funnier when there is a third person in there also. Its almost like a there is an order in all there chaos.

I feel the same way as Pete, I can't get into any DC books because they're always crossed, or either in depth with a major event or character which I have no idea is or who about. Ecept GL books, now thats'em goodz comics

the young x-men always seemed redundant to me, i mean - why aren't they real x-men? there ARE young people on the roster...do they ever address that?
