It is not nessecary 2 educate urself with history 2 learn or 2 become close to THE ONE.But, 2 liston 2 ur innerself where history is already in existance. I believe that life after death does exist. What, when, where, how, who No one but THE ONE knows. All I know to feel safe and not to be afraid. Is that We have these ``Feelings inside of us`` and that is enough! security, for me to Believe that what ever, when ever, how ever, death comes upon us there is THE ONE that I have UTMOST trust in.
i think its easy to get distracted, or to question why religeons are the way they are, but the simplest way to put it, is, just use common sense, be nice, respect for all, and be happy, be grateful for this very short human experience, dont complicate things too much. when we are babies, we know nothing of life, same as in our 80's or beyond! just do good deeds, remember god, and serve others! thats it!
This answered a lot of questions I couldn't find elsewhere online. I'm ten minutes in and had my questions about the cycle of rebirth (and whether or not we retain memories of past lives) answered. Thank you.
@gungnir2357 for practising baptised Sikhs that's correct as hair is a gift of God which helps in spiritual life so the same way a lion would be incomplete without his mane so too would a spiritual person without hair. the Gurus and elevated spiritual teachers that began most faiths began had long hair.
@gungnir2357 read guru granth sahib first..keeping hair or cutting them is second to the attachment with the truth(guru granth sahib(sikhs sacred text).ad it understand the meaning, nd see the purpose of our lives..cutting or keeping hair will come naturally to you...its(hair) not the first step..gurmat is first step
these people are talking crap..... im gonna give em a call....
btw im born in sikh religion, however, i dont follow it.... im an athiest. i still dont get it why a karra is required in order for me to remeber good deeds....
@pilot691shawn yes sir ,Noone is born into sikh religion , its a believe that no one can force upon you nor convert you into a Sikh. The karra for Sikhs is basically a tool that shows conscience having good morals.
Humans need something tangiable to believe in things so by wearing a kara humans can remind themselves to do good deeds. But one may argue that why can't you just do good deeds from your heart. Again we need something physical that we can touch or feel so we can live our lives accordingly. If you're saying that statement; then try to live by it. If it is that easy why are people suffering?
That is indeed what it is like. After death, you feel nothing and your body becomes one with the earth/nature/everything.
And if it's so hard to believe that you can feel *nothing*, think about what you feel when you're asleep. It's not so impossible. There's no soul, no worries. You'll feel nothing, and that's as peaceful as it gets.
Let me tell you something, why do we use the english words 'my' and 'I'. Think deeply about what your actually talking about. Eventually it is 'my' body that is going to die and 'my' body that experiences feeling. It is not 'I'. 'I' is something different it another being or commonly known as a soul e.g. it is 'I' that reaches god not 'my' body. Makes sense?
Think deeply about what? Thinking deeply about the way we speak doesn't say much about afterlife or soul to me..
When someone says "I don't wanna die!" out of fear, that by your logic seems to mean that they think they'll die forever?
Please explain how you reached the conclusion that "eventually it is 'my' body that is going to die and 'my' body that experiences feeling. It is not 'I'. 'I' is something different"/"soul" .. etc.
I need to know the answer to this question. RajKaregaKhalsanet Please answer this question. I am Sikh myself and this is one thing I am unsure about and allot of Sikhs I know are unsure about this and have lost their faith due to the illuminati issue. Please answer this question, someone. Thanks
1st EX:Do you know when you going to die ??? I don´t think so , if god didn´t let you know that wen you are going to die then do you think he will give you the exact date of destroying universe,
Second Ex: " Universe is like bubble on water , god can create and destroy it anytime he want " - adi granth. So, it means that Almighty doesn´t need a specific time to destroy universe if he want he can do it in next 3 seconds :D .. hope it explains you somt

Nothing happens when you die! we just die! go alone where? you do not go no where! you are just dead. its like seeing a dog dead. no such thing as a different life? read all the books you want, whatever helps you to feel better at night! there is no such thing as "god" what is that?
Truth be told, no one knows what hapens when we die. If you think nothing will happen then tahst your opinion. As for God, no one can either proove or disproove his existance.
My friend dogs have many virtues that we as humans dont. If there is no God, there is no soul and anyone is just a skin sack full of blood, bones & excrement. So what is anyone's thoughts worth? Dont take any offence but we value human life more than this as actually you have an opinion, a consciousness, a soul if you will. God is just that which is good in you, that which prevents people from doing negativity and despite how bad things are in the world it could be worse.
Unlike some we dont need to put others down. Meditating helps us better connect with our true selves and those around us. The same as Rastafarians praise with Jah or Hindus say Raam its all upbeat, love and Oneness.

Death every soul shall taste death. No doubt. But, it is what u die upon, matters. When u die u will be judged, and be asked three things, what was your religion, who is your Lord?,and who was your Prophet? If u do not answer these three things correctly it is the HellFire. Now,all these rituals of the Sikh faith is clearly similar to Sufism, upon which I clearly have seen, from the bowing to the Granth Sahib to the putting the Granth Sahib into a bed at the end of Kirtaan Sohla. It all in vain,sad...
if you say so. the Lord is not muslim or hindu or sikh or any religion - the Lord just exists regardless. no one faith can monopolise the Lord as Love exists in all, God exists in all. throwing the stone at the devil or bowing to mecca if one does not understand the meaning anything becomes ritual but when done out of love it is faith. being insecure or feeling the need to ridicule others gets us nowhere. whoever you are, whatever faith you belong, be true to that, be true to yourself. peace
true that. ive been exploring philosophies and what not. i'm actually allittle indifferent towards death. so i'm trying to expand my mind and scare the shit out of myself and then overcome the fear!
but i have my doubts though and struggle with my faith. and at worst i think nothing happens but i tell myself well....atleast it is freedom from suffering and pain. and life's shit in general lol i dont know. but most of all i want to free myself from ignorance.
specops24th: You are just like every other muslim, well versed in the art of islamic rethoric, while having absolute superficial knowledge on eastern religion and metaphysics. Sikhism denounces the fruitless rituals espoused in religions like Islam that do nothing but subvert the natural evolution of the human soul. Weighing your concept of the afterlife against others is also a vain act upon which your lethal ignorance is further highlighted.
@tosikuai, What makes you think Im not open minded and listen to the uneducated opinions of other ppl? I have more than a sufficient knowledge of Islam, 2 of my very close friends are muslims also. EVERY religion has ritual, Sikhism is one of them, even though they are wrongly subscibed to it. Do you know the origin of Abraham and Sarah? They are in reality the hindu dieties Brahma and Saraswati. <This is beyond the comprehension of the brainwashed muslims mind. Jesus Christ is Yesu KrIShnA.
