Hold onto her hands at all times and lead. If she follows well it will work. She should know that if the hand is over her head she turns and if its over your own you're turning.

I have never done tried the Pretzel to Merengue before. I'm definitely trying this out at the club (after I practise) =)

Its not a very hard move and it looks awesome! :D

You could also do another variation where the leader does a hammer lock and then walks underneath her left arm and stands back to back. When you're done playing behind her simply walk to the right and then back under her left (leader's right) and give her a right turn with her left hand to untangle. I hope you understand that haha!
