he plays on numerous tracks on eric clapton's journeyman cd.strong persuader is a classic cd for those who do not own it.this track is on that cd.love robert cray a true guitar hero
That's so weird that you say that. Cray never reminded me of Knopfler but when I clicked on this one, I thought 'Boy, that sounds like Dire Straits a bit' and there's your comment, first on the page.
Robert is back in the uk doing a mini tour including Birmingham in july I think,I think i'd be stupid not to go. Brillant stuff, and this has to be one of my favourites of his.
The great thing is getting out my ownn strat and noodling along..you can learn loads of little things.
Nice to hear Blues professional at work... Too much of the new music is synthesized CRAP. No one even playing an instrument, except for keyboard player at his computer. Not that it's a bad thing... It's just not any sort of musicical performance.
I like the way he has mellowed over the years. He seems to eager t sing the song here.If you hear him sing it now, there is s much room in the composition.

It seems to me there are few lead singers if I can say that, that play lead guitar Simultaneously as they sing. It shows skill to me.

Robert Cray - what a talent! He never received the accolades/recognition he deserved.

What I particularly like about Robert Cray is his ability to reproduce his amazing studio-voice on stage - even better in fact. Wonderful stuff.

Cray is one of the greatest musicians to ever grace the world in my opinion. Not enough people know about him which is sad because he is so talented.

he's been under rated for way too long.
I made him laugh during his break drinking water. I told him "I loved you in animal house" he turned and laughed then I gave him the thumbs up sign.
Seen him 4 times and it just keep getting better every time I see him.
