No, rock band 3 has that stupid bullshit "almost a real guitar!" thing. I think it's actually insulting that they're going around saying that people can learn to play guitar on something without strings on the fretboard.

@FacePoppies They don't have a "almost a real guitar thing".... what are you talking about? They have a fender mustang plastic controller which IS a fake plastic guitar, which only 102 buttons, but they also have a full sized fender squier stratocaster REAL guitar with all 132 frets, that you can also plug into any guitar amp and play, being released in march.

@1990monsoon Harmonix was definately working on their game long before this game was announced, but this game with it's "chording mode" that won't teach you anything but power chords, which are easy, was announced before rb3's pro mode.

The drums are also air drums, wow thats gunna be hard if you wanna play drums. i thought this game was gonna like kick other music games ass by being real. so why have air drums that will be impossible to play. the sticks will get heavy if your playing nothing and you can't exactly get any rebound or rolls going if you have nothing to hit.

I don't know, I mean I like the idea of using a real guitar but that has been already taken buy RB3. All I'm seeing is FAIL written all over this, you can't blame them for trying though, they just want a piece of that pie (money) that RB and GH have going. But I am glad that the Rock genre is being revived thanks to these games. I say kudos for enriching peoples lives again with actual good music that people have forgotten, because of that damn Hip Hop, Rap and Reageton.

@Virus2020 the music genre probably wouldn't be dying if it weren't for Activision releasing a new game every year that is almost exactly the same as the year before.

Yeah I know I feel the same way I think they realized that already (I think its Neversoft's last game), I say they should take 2 years off and wait to come up with something new and fresh, not just the same thing over and over again. When I bought WOR and started playing it, I felt ripped off because the gameplay and graphics were exactly the same, it felt as if I bought GH5 again. Still, the game is great and fun but not inovative there is nothing new about it
