What are we doing to this planet? Made me think of Bill Caddicks's song Unicorns which always moves me close to tears. Thank you for sharing this powerful film
I have just joined your Army, Mark! :0) And I'm going to post this video everywhere I can possibly think of. I urge others to do that to, and let's see if we can get The Wild Horses of Newbury's message to go out right around the world, for we are continuing to destroy at a hugely alarming rate!
It's not by chance those horses turned up...nor that you were there to film them. It was a bringing together of extraordinary souls for a very strong purpose...and whoever brought you and those magical horses together that morning, knew exactly what they were doing....For no other person could have captured or interpreted their message any better than you have here. A Spiritual Message that was formed that day to rise above The Destruction, creating an Army of Saviours.
@LizzieCornish thank you so much for your comments. I'm so glad that this film is still attracting attention 15 years after the event.. It was indeed a truly magical moment felt by all the people there.
Mark, this is the most extraordinary and moving piece of film I have ever seen. Do you know how to send it to James Cameron, or Stephen Spielberg, for this should be the basis of the strongest film ever created about what we are doing to the planet, how we have lost touch with ourselves and how the animals themselves are trying to tell The Destroyers to stop! It is the saddest yet most beautiful film I have ever, EVER seen. Thank you for caring.. x
Stunning and very profound. Excellent use of Terry Oldfield's music and the narration is restrained and meaningful, never mawkish. The clearly unstaged, agitated body language of the 'wild' horse towards the police horse is quite remarkable. An incredibly moving documentation of a shameful episode in England's recent history. Thank you.
It is as if they were asking the police horses to help save their HOME. i can not believe they shooed them away. that just is very disturbing to me. Please do you part and help what we cant not under stand. thank you.
I cry every time I watch this. Especially when the wild horse implores the police horse to help and gets so frustrated. I wonder who is the real progressive and intelligent species on this beautiful planet of ours!
All I could do is weep at this horrible loss of such beautiful and noble oaks, and marvel at the strength and wisdom shown by the two horses that seem to come, trying to stop the foolish humans.
Do you know where I can find this music?

Almost unbearable watching the destruction of such trees. Wanton vandalism by virtual zombies at the altar of finance capitalism.
I knew there was a certain ineffable nobility surrounding the horse and this confirms it beyond any doubt.
The earth was indeed hurt that day.

Between the cutting down of those magnificent trees and the appearance of the horses, the scene couldn't have been more sad or ethereal.
