Penis wise, its right below the impala's belly so they cut through there to get to the liver, kidney and the sort as that is the most nutritious area. I stayed on a reserve in the north of SA and we found that the dogs there have also been using the fence for some time. we were lucky enough to see them use this technique with a large kudu bull. Good for the dogs, and i guess they need all the good luck they can get at the moment - but not so fair on the prey hey. Nice footage anyway.

A single wild dog is capable of bringing down an impala, especially after they "run it down", meaning they chase their prey until it falls from exhaustion, then their prey is eaten alive. I've seen other wildlife footage during a hunt where a single wild dog(alpha male of the pack) downed an impala.
