@Zorack10 For the price, and dependent upon a realistic assessment of your needs/desires, the D2x can be a fantastic, affordable alternative to the D3. If the D90 and D200 are your frames of reference, then the D2x would almost certainly exceed your expectations (and uses).
Having said that, a used D300 runs about the same price right now and comes equipped with updated tech. Add a grip to it and you'll get much the same feel in hand as the D2x.
This would be a great cheaper alternative to a D3,I've thought about getting a D90 or even a D200,but I love size in a camera and a D2X is something I should think about :) Thanks for this video Mike :)
@Zorack10 To be honest, this isn't a good alternative to the D3. The ISO capabilities of the D2x are quite poor, even compared to the D90. If you want a pro body to use outside then it's fine, but unless you use a flash, you can't really go above ISO 1600, and even at 1600, the D2x is pretty pressed.
The D300 or D300s would be a much better buy for most users, plus you have a popup flash you can use for Nikon CLS.
Congratulations!, I did the same. I replaced my fujifilm S5Pro by a beautiful D2X with only 5000 shots. Great pictures, great colors. In studio its performance is great ...
hey, i had a question about the D2x. I wanted to know how it is working with ISO sensitivity that only goes up to 800? I work with a D90, and I'm looking to upgrade, and since I can't afford a D3x, i've been looking a bit into the D2x. It's a fantastic camera, I'm just curious about the ISO Sensititvity
@AWagnerPhotography Generally I never go higher than ISO200, but the D2X are a bit noisy when increasing in IOS. The D90 I believe has better IOS sensitivity.
Hey man, I have been watching this video a few times now wishing I had a D2x.. I have a D90 at the moment and cannot wait to get a D2x as my main body. This video is really really pushing me to get one. :)
@bensikat The D90 only beats it in high ISO not quality. The ISO quality difference is pretty noticeable. But, that's not to say the D2x's ISO performance is bad. It's just not on par with the D90.
nice beat. you make?

You really can't go wrong with either, though.

@Zorack10 Makes the D90 look flimsy. Love the D2x construction.

Just curious ... how old is the technology of the D2X compared to a D90 ? Does the D2X still beat the D90 in terms of IQ and high iso ?
