  • Nothing wrong with the first decision. Clearly kicks it away after disagreeing with the throw. The penalty decision is wrong but they're already 2-0 up. I don't know how he could be biased either... Malaysia would never beat China.

  • Anyone that puts shit on Ben Williams is a Dickhead!!! Hes worked his way up the ranks in Aust getting his FIFA badge. They dont hand them out. The people saying all this bad stuff about referee's obviously arn't referee's themselves so shut the fuck up and let the man that actually knows the laws officiate!!!

  • malaysia champion

  • FIFA should take action on such match official as clearly there's no such thing as FAIR PLAY here

  • i may hate malaysian football(cos i singapore) BUT CHINA ARE ONE BIG FUCKING TWATS THEY SHOULD BE BANNED FROM FIFA

  • chinese are known to bribing referees

  • Chinese don't know how to play soccer. Nothing new for this chink in sport and that ref probably he likes chinks dick or were paid thousand of bucks.

  • google the term : nike china soccer scandal

  • i want someone sniper him on his dick in stadium when game is played

i also waiting for someone (a player) did a horror tackle on him if the ball just near him.

because this shit referee will again be there to suck chinese's dick!

  • BENJAMIN COMES SUCK MY D!CK !

  • Haha.. I bet some of them doesn't even know what they're saying.. This ref is full with controversy.. And all of the matches he's been into.. Will result more controversy than fair game.. Latest result.. China lost to Oman if i'm not mistaken.. yesterday game.. And the ref?? Well you guess it.. Ben Williams.. ~

  • fucked up ben ....

  • I don't see bias refereeing. I see players dumb enough to kick the ball away (mandatory caution) when already on a yellow and another obvious swear and get a straight red (moron). I see an MAS team that can't defend a simple free kick. I see an MAS defender holding (1st) in the penalty area (breaking up a promising attack, mandatory caution) when already on a yellow (how dumb). The FIFA badge indicates he knows his shit.

  • @Futsal1st so if there's another ball being thrown by the ball boy u can't kick the other ball away?? u have to gently push the ball away..wait that would mandatory caution as well according to the law book is it? there are certain situation that need to use common sense in judgement...knowing shit and applying it to real time situation is a different matter..and furthermore the Chinese players didn't received a single card even with their high and dangerous tackle...seems obvious rite??

  • @khyshee to Futsal1st.. I see you don't really look at the vid.. or even watching the vid/match.. If you just look at this vid only.. Sure you could say a little bit about the match.. 1st red is so easy to get.. 2nd red card comes out suddenly.. and 3rd red card comes from something which that Kuna guy doesn't even deserved.. Sorry to say to the Chinese fans but i see that the Chinese players who grabbed the shirt out of Kuna's and both fall down.. Did the Chinese deserve Penalty?? (continued)

  • @khyshee (continued).. Yes.. They deserved the penalty under certain circumstances.. But do he deserve the red card?? Nope... Not at all.. It wasn't even a bad tackle or anything.. not even hard body contact.. ~

  • @khyshee talk about rose coloured glasses. Mahali did not see another ball coming and gently push it away. He saw an opponent coming to get the ball for the throw when he thought it was his and kicked the ball away (obvious dissent) to delay the restart of play so he could get back in position. If he wasn't already on a caution it wouldn't have mattered. Not the refs fault the player is a moron. Learn the Laws, this is a mandatory caution at this level. Safiq is also a moron for swearing.

  • @Futsal1st Its was known throughout the match when the ball is out of play, the ball boy will always throw in another ball, if he was so strict no single card for the Chinese??? even in the Asian Cup when China met Kuwait, its the same...i know u being australian and all had the need to defend this biased referee, and by all means this doesn't make all the official from downunder are bad.just HIM in this particular match, and another in Asian Cup that should be an eye opener to all football fans

  • @Futsal1st Look at all the matches.. Full time.. Don't just look at some of the vid that just shown a few highlights.. Then you know what they all means... If you still don't agree, just look at other vid like HIGHLIGHTS - Kuwait VS China 08-01-2011.. Few hard tackles but still no cards for them, instead just smile and continues the game.. but just 1 mistake the Kuwait done, red card shown.. Dude, u should really look at full match ya b4 saying anything ^^ Peace ~

  • fuckin chinese and ben william!

  • the only thing he is good at is smiling after he pulls out a card out of his pocket.

  • اشفيه مع شرق آسيا الحكم؟؟؟ شكله دافعيله !!

  • The China Kuwait game was pretty fair from what i saw. Kuwait didn't score when the ball was on the line and the guy who got the red card kicked the chinese dude in the nuts so he deserved his card. The China Malaysia game on the other hand is ridiculous. I don't think any of the 3 red cards were deserved.

  • @deadlyharborseal

Kuwaits match fair by what standards? They should have got a penalty, clear penalty an the referee (Ben) was just a few meters away yet nothing happened. Then Kuwait got a red card which finally destroyed the players, just like the match between Germany and England in WC2010. And the guy who got a red card fell on the ground BECAUSE of the Chinese player. Thus, both should be either yellow carded or sent out. I was hoping bad refereeing would demise after the world cup

  • والله بصراحة الحكم هذا متحامل على المسلمين يعني من جد اللي سواهـ بالكويت مو شي جديد بتاريخة

  • first red in Asia CUP 2011, goes to Kuwait against CHINA...and who's the ref...guess what?? it's Benjamin Williams....

  • @khyshee the ref fucked uo the game!

  • @khyshee the ref fucked up the game!

  • i believe in dejavu. ben, what goes around, comes around.

  • THIS REF CAN DIG HIS OWN GRAVE! CLEARLY THIS IS ALL BULLSHIT! GOOD LUCK IN THE FUTURE MAY GOD BLESS YOU

  • australians ref have no credibility. he could be bribed by the chinese.

  • if you think the referre in this game is FAIR, better make your brain medical check up. For all the cards he showed, 3 reds and 7 yellows, ALL of them are for MAS players. CHI (host) player is an angels in this match.. i tell you one thing, that is BULLSHIT !!

  • all bullshit..referee and chinese player are fuck shit!!!!

  • seriously, fuck the chinese. and fuck this referee. im from singapore, and although sg and mas are big rivals, i think the ref is just plain dumb, add that to the shitty cards produced in this game, i think ben williams should be sent packing from aussie and just migrate to china. srsly. they'll pay him loads to be the top referee in the china league.

  • FINALLY THE CHINA FUCKIN TEAM LOST WIT KOREA...& THE AUSTRALIAN FUCKIN REFEREE IN DA WORLD MRS BEN WILLIAMS NOW MAIN SUSPECT IF HE COMES TO MALAYSIA...STUPID REF IN HISTORY!!!!!!!!!!!

  • stupid OZ refereeing !!!

  • I think the first red was soft, the second was uncalled for, and the third was deserved for a second bookable offense. Ben Williams was overzealous in his authority and in no match there should be 13 yellow and 3 red cards issued. Ben Williams is a referee of poor quality in the A-League and I have no idea why he has become a referee at international level.

  • This is no longer football. The referee messed up this game. I feel pity for both Malaysian team and Malaysian ppl. Something always happens in that land.

  • @Arinnco7 Referees do not mess up games. They enforce the laws of the game, and if players do not wish to abide by them ... They get to sit down and watch from the sideline. Why is the referee blamed for poor player behaviour ??

  • Overall its just good refereeing, in obviously an important game where players needed to keep their temper in check but didn't.

And as for match-fixing - the Chinese have no influence on the AFC appointments on their games.

  • @kearneyccmcfc this doesn't involved the AFC as it is not the Asian Cup competition, this is Asian Games, it's doesn't if China have a hand on this or not, by FIFA standard, there too many bad calls and the bookings are one sided..

u can looked at sailing or takraw in this Asian Games for examples..how manipulative China is...

  • For the 1st red card I think there may be something more involved after the ball being kicked away. Notice the referee jog for a bit as he watches the player before he blows his whistle. If this isn't the case, then the 2nd yellow may be a bit harsh but the player can have no complaints regardless of whether he saw the other ball or not. The 2nd send-off is clearly for offensive abusive and/or insulting language. And the 3rd is stil a foul + yellow card, even if the Chinese player threw himself

  • fucking mother cunt u ref...i fuck your mother ass hole!!!!!!!!!

  • bribe!!!! total sure.!

  • Loas is best for host for asian & Asian game

    thailand comment

  • i'm sorry to say this, but u can clearly see that the player didn't see the ball coming in before kicking it. the ball was behind him when he started to go for the strike. even if he had amazing peripheral vision that would have been almost impossible to spot. let's admit it, he just got frustrated at the sideline referee, and the the referee had every right to give him a card.

  • @texas621 the ball was bouncing next to him,who could have missed it?? if he were to protest he would've kicked it harder and further away, or maybe throw the ball as hard as he can to the ground instead of just a light tap on the foot

  • @khyshee he was looking straight ahead not facing the incoming ball. but i understand your point. But what he did can go either way -- in my opinion. It's just that the ref thought he was trying to delay the game and gave a yellow card. The ref did seem a bit harsh for giving him a yellow card when he knew that he already had one.

once a wise man said "a football(soccer ball) is round."

  • reff come like dog!!! stupid reff

  • Worst referee and the worst country!

  • China makes this games to earn more medal. They play all the games using their dirty tricks and play. So they are totally cheating.

  • we can get know ref can destroy the game THANKS TO THIS VIDEO.

this ref should be learn hard what football rule is. anyway, China win easily any games in China because the ref is the 12th player in a pitch!!

it's SO FUNNY that china couldn't take advantage the present from the ref ...they was beaten by South Korea!!

  • for the first red, did he looked like he was kicking it away in protest or to waste time?? u can clearly see in the replay, another ball had already been thrown in for the chinese player to throw before he kicked the ball away...why would the referee called it time wasting when the ball is already on the chinese player's hand within a few seconds??

  • @khyshee The problem isn't time wasting, it's dissent by action. The player clearly showed dissent towards the assistant referee and was appropriately cautioned.

A player on a yellow card who does that is either undisciplined, stupid or both.

  • @robbo1872 if u were saying dissent by action, by all means tell us which part of his gesture that resemble as dissent? he didn't kick the ball hard or punch the ball, just a light tap on the foot.. can it be considered as dissent??

He knows he's on a yellow n that's why he didn't even bother to argue with the linesman nor the referee and just walk away, the Chinese players got away without a yellow card even with their rough tackles..there was no fair play in this match

  • @khyshee Have you ever thought the second yellow was given for Kicking the ball away to delay the restart of play? Regardless, the card is warrented and mandatory at International level such as this game.

  • @Average75 how can u call it a delay when the ball was already in the Chinese player's hand within 3 seconds??? can't u see the ball was already thrown in before he even start kicking that ball? referee can mess up games when the law of the game is enforce incorrectly...

  • @khyshee Look closely at the12 second mark. It clearly shows the player kicking the ball away and the replacement ball bouncing towards the touchline. That according to the law chart is kicking the ball away to delay the restart of play. Regardless of when the Chinese player got the ball, the intent was to delay the restart of play, thus a bookable offence at international level.

Please feel free to read the law chart thoroughly and then reply.

  • @Average75 that's where u lack of common sense, the same goes with the official of this match, how can u call it a delay when there wasn't any delay caused by his action..so u're saying he should just let the ball in the field together with another ball that had already been thrown in by the ball boy? if u look at the law, there can't be two ball on the field at the same time or am i wrong? this is the english premier league where they used just one ball for each match, that is not the case ere

  • @khyshee the amount of time to lapse is irrelevant. Its the intent of the player to break the spirit of the game and/or to disadvantage the other team of taking a quick restart. If you were the other team and wanted to take a quick throw in only to be delayed by this action, how would you feel?

With all your posts, it is clear that you have no real appreciation for football and like everyone else just want someone to blame when your team decide to act like little kids.

  • @Average75 ok then..please tell me which part of his action was causing a delay on the chinese player to take the throw in? i appreciate football as much as anyone else here, and they all can clearly see the bad calls the ref had made which apparently u can't..so have it ur way then, this vid in no means saying all australian officials are bad but ben williams in this particular match really made bad calls and that's the fact

  • @Average75 furthermore please look at the video again and this time better put ur glasses on..where he kicked the ball and the strength he kicked it, first: he was kicking it straight at the ball boy at the corner of the field as he and any player at that match realize when the ball went out the ball boy will ALWAYS throw another in. not intent of unprofessional or delaying the chinese player there, second: the strength and the way he kick is just a tap on the ball to pass to the ball boy

  • @Average75 i rephrase my sentence, it should be "this is not the english premier league"

  • 1st red card: Ref has no other choise than to give it. As a professional player you have to know that you are going to be booked when you kick the ball away like in this situation.-

2nd red card: I don´t know why he deserved this but it seemed that he said something to the ref so it´s also correct.

3rd red card: It´s not a penalty and even more it´s not worth a booking.

  • @NunzioFunaki 2nd red card is ridiculous... he is the captain, so he deserve to get the explanation from the ref... what he want is just explanation, suddenly he got red card...

  • @themrskyjuice23 Captains of football teams are not privileged, they have no more right to ask/question/abuse the referee.

He clearly said something he shouldn't have.

  • @themrskyjuice23 ... Where does it say in the Law chart that the captain has any special privileges as opposed to his team mates? He is a contact pont for a referee if assistance is required, such telling the team to watch the tackles.

  • @Average75 the captain do have privilege as he will be the first person the referee should consult to whenever a conflict arise, and the captain is the only one who should consult the referee if there is a problem with the decision...so it was his right to question the referee as he is the team captain

  • @khyshee When you read the law chart thoroughly, please point out to me the paragraph that states the captain has the right to question a referee's decision?

Also, How do you know the Captain was not sent off for Offensive, insulting and/or abusive language. Unless you were standing next to the referee when the incident occured, you are unable to prove otherwise.

    Happy reading ...

  • @Average75 so u're saying instead of just the captain the whole team should enquire the referee is it? that's what a captain do when he felt things are not right they question and the ref should've handled it better instead of giving a straight red card,a yellow would suffice, the body language of the ref says it all, he even walk away and turned his back on the captain he just sent off instead of firmly stand by his ground with his decision,he may have fooled u but not the rest of the world

  • @khyshee Nobody has the right to question the referee or any match official. Until you have read the law chart thoroughly, you will never understand the mindset of a referee. Guess you are too bias to ever consider being a match official.

  • @Average75 if your teammates were misjudged by the ref would u just stay silent and obedient instead of questioning why that decision was made? even world class players argued whenever they or their teammates are misjudged by the official and any world class official always handled it in a proper manner which clearly not the case for Ben Williams here

  • @khyshee As mentioned previously ... Unless you could hear what was said on the field you can only speculate as to what the straight Red card was for. Would you be happy for an opponent to get a Yellow Card for abusing one of your family members in a very offensive manner. If someone called you a cheat and/or really let loose with a spray to offend your religious beliefs ?

    Go figure !!

  • @Average75 did the ref ever gave a statement that the player was abusive/racial in any particular way? well if that's the case that particular player will received a punishment from AFC or straight from FIFA for such remark. A warning, a yellow card and if the player continued on than another yellow is the correct way to handle it. this was not an action that intently meant to harm or injured another player that really deserve a red, it was an argument on the bad calls the ref had made

  • @NunzioFunaki is kick the ball because have other ball come.!!!

  • @kakazeem yeah.. another ball came so he kicked the ball away.. I think...

  • Respond to this video...

Obviously the Malaysian Coach has got little understanding if the rules of the game. If I were him I would have instructed his 2 of his players to feign injury. With six players on the pitch the match would have to be abandoned and replayed. No issue of him or any Malaysian having to criticise the referee

  • @muzariff Actually I see you´re not in common with the rules, dude. The match isn´t abandoned when a team has less than 7 players. They can even play one against one. And in such a case a game would never be replayed. When it would be replayed every team would do that after two or three red cards.

  • @NunzioFunaki ... I believe @muzariff is correct. Feel free to check the FIFA Law chart for further clarification.

  • @muzariff we don't have to stoop so low as to feign an injury would we? than we would't be any more different than Ben Williams... :D
