In This Clip, From 0:21 To 0:27, During This WPIX-TV's The 8'Clock Movie Video Close From 1986, The Voice Of Ralph Lowenstein Did Say, "Tomorrow Night At 8, Gary Cooper Stars In "Pride Of The Yankees" On Channel 11.
When I think of WPIX in 1986, I think of how that channel (among the others) was on its downhill slide. I mean, I grew up in the 1970s watching all sorts of classic, CLASSIC tv shows and movies. But starting around 1985, cable tv was gaining a foothold in the area, and all that good stuff I grew up watching would disappear only to surface on some cable channel and never come back to free tv. (I wouldnt get cable tv until 1996).
Nice, a mix of new-age "Circle 11" and the primitive CGI of that time period, and the voiceover from the "11 Alive" days. What was the name of that VO, and what's the name of the current WPIX VO who seems to have been here for over 15 years now?

Wow, a classic Gary Cooper movie airing on primetime network TV. Nice little things like that just seem so alien nowadays.
Long live pre-1990s television.

Since like 1985, IIRC, that same animation was used for other movies like Saturday Afternoon and Sunday Morning and Afternoon movies.
