Saturday April 5, 1975 at the NY Academy of Music, An Evening of Classic Doo Wopp Harmony, celebrating the return of Gus Gossert. On that show was the Nutmegs with Sonny Griffin on lead. They opened the show with " Hello " under the street lamp. One word to describe it " Wow" . I still have the program. Also on the show, Rudy and the Keys, The Skyliners ( with Janet ) The Students, Herbie and the Cleftones, The Tuneweavers, The Ad Libs, The Deltairs, The Five Sharps and Billy Vera's Band

On May 3rd of this year,2009 @ the National Doo Wopp Hall of fame in Boston Mass They will be honoring the Nutmegs and Inducting them into their Hall of Fame,we will be there to accept the award along with Harold Jaynes ,and this is the song we will be opening with,then closing it with ship of Love,and finally story Untold..hope to see you there!..Gil..

I have a great recording of the Nutmegs doing this same medley warming up before their legendary reunion concert in Connecticut in 1969.The cd is called Nutmegs: Shoowop a doo wop.Its a must listen!By the way these gentlemen did a phenomenal job with this medley!

Are these singers some of the orignal Nutmegs or are they another group?

no originals here..these are the larkings backing up Harold jaynes,whose uncle Leroy Griffin was the original lead singer,harold took over the leads with the original nutmegs group,when Leroy could no longer cut it..HAROLD was the original lead singer on the Nutmegs acapella album on the strawberry label,which has become a collecters item and also a classic..
