  • Does the GCR still have some of the ex-South West Trains 4VEPs or 'slam-doors'?

  • Very nice piece of film, well done.

  • Reminds me of winter 1987,when the old Cromptons came to the rescue quite a lot!Snow stopped many of the electric MK1s for a while, but at least we still ran a service then.lt snows now,and all the plastic 375s splutter to a halt!Very embarrasing it was to be stuck on a 375 with just a fine sprinkling of snow having stopped it...Bring back the MK1s!

  • no its not a thumper.

  • 4 tc is,nt right 1 of the coaches is wrong

  • No not a TC, it is a 4 CIG unit 421393, the centre coach is from a 4 CEP unit.

  • .. am i right in thinking they have now sourced a Buffet car from a 4-BIG unit to go into this unit to make it a 4-BIG?

  • yes that right, also it has been painted in to BR green.

  • Oh dear has it! That's a shame... only the original series 1 CIG/BIGs were BR green as delivered to the central division for the brighton Line. the one at the GC is a series 2 unit which would have been delivered in BR Blue.. still never mind eh. At least it's preserved.

  • Yes it should have been painted in Blue & Grey, but i think i read somewhere that the next time it is repainted in would be in Blue & Grey, so lets hope it does.

  • In a way it fits in with the rest of the railway in Green which I approve of.

  • Was that Field bellowing out of the window?

  • Yes that was Field getting his head out again, no tree branch this time to hit him.

  • I can see me there, making the most of the Sulzer thrash. Nice vid.

  • cool vid
