  • Barbra Sreisand is the biggest female artist in album sales in the United States estimated around 75 million.

  • S-T-A-M-P!!! Love it!

  • Donna Summer ranks #6 on worldwide album sales by a female solo singer. Donna has sold 178 million albums. She has an extensive music catalog. Donna rocks and rolls.

  • she's sold that many albums? who else sold more? let me guess. #1. Madonna, 2. Whitney Houston, 3. Mariah Carey, who are the other artists?

  • Solo Female Artist album sales worldwide in the millions 1. Madonna 257 2. Mariah carey 232 3. Whitney Houston 220 4. Nana Mouskouri 206 5. Diana Ross 189 6. **DONNA SUMMER** 178 7. Celne Dion 175 8. Barbra Streisand 168 9. Janet Jackson 138 10. Shania Twain 132 11. Tina Turner 125 12. Dolly Parton 120 13. Cher 116 14. Aretha Franklin 108 15. Britney Spears 78
  • thanks you're awesome, never heard of Nana Mouskouri before.

  • You're welcome. Nana Mouskouri is a Greek singer and she sings Jazz,Pop,Folk,Greek Folk,World Music and classical. She's been around for 5 decades. She is very popular outside of the U.S.

  • Ok I'll check her out on youtube. (Nana) I didn't know Diana Ross sold that many albums.

  • Oh yes. Diana Ross's solo career started in 1970 after she left the Supremes. She's made about 30 albums. That's almost 40 years ago. Donna's solo career started in 1974 and she has released 17 albums. These women have been around a long time. What seems to be amazing to me is that Donna,Diana,Barbra,Tina,Cher,Aretha and Dolly are still around making music, selling records and touring after 30 plus years. These are the real divas who stood the test of time.

  • This should've been a huge international hit!

  • probably would have been a big hit but radio wouldn't play it. doubt they ever will play anything from a 60+ artist. good song though.

  • all they play on the radio is people like lady gaggag and over auto tune used artists :P

  • Donna Summer & Whitney Houston is the S*IT

  • (I'm sorry) Donna is in a league by herself. Donna took care of her voice and she is almost 61 years young. Whitney didn't now at 46 years young. I like Whitney's music from 1985-1998. After that.......(no comment)

  • Auto tuning, can hear it!

  • Donna, You totatlly rock. You are timeless!

  • Donna is one of the most amazing artists! she is more than an amazing voice and she is loved in every corner of the world. Wherever you are, THANK YOU Donna!

  • Donna Summer is the SH*T!

  • Her voice sounds the same i love her

  • She sounds better than Whitney Houston.

  • oh i dont know about that

  • Yup, she does, in my book. Not one hoarse note in sight. Still like me some Whitney though. Just not as much as I used to.

  • Much better!

  • Hey Donna, You Go, Gurl!! You Got It & You Always Will!! Keep On Pumpin' Out The Hits!! You Are The Best Ever!!! :)

  • Much to the disdain of the naysayers here and still is the Queen is Donna Summer giving us twenty first century Disco music. I love 70s disco music myself but for this market, Donna Summer is the queen of disco music Or CLUB music this is a great jam for this day in age at the club. Much props to Donna great song!!

  • Just b/c it isn't typical of her older music doesn't make it poor. I LOVE THIS SONG! DONNA SUMMER WILL ALWAYS BE THE QUEEN! This song is upbeat and hip - I give her big kudos for attempting something like this.

  • long comments!

  • Checked the sleaves and you're right! But, what is real music or not. the drums are very close to computer drums...but in my opinion it is still music. And Donna made al lot of music with in our eyes real musicians! Using new techniques (the violins in this songs are real....) does that makes music less? The disco times are gone, just as the recording artists and musicians. Time to let here step off the disco throne many want to keep the 'Queen of Disco' on.

  • I think the definition of ''Real Music'' is the sound of real musical instruments being played by real talented musicians which this album ''Crayons'' fails to accomplish. And disco music does not have to die! Any band or recording artist can easily revive it, it's just that no one seems to want too and as for the young recording pop stars of today the music industry is telling them the type of music to record, so they don't stand a chance! Donna had a choice but she chose to make computer music

  • I think disco music is still around. It has just evolved with the times. It goes by various names now: dance, club, house, electronic, etc.

  • You are right it has evolved into all those types of music but the true disco sound will always be real drums, guitars, keyboards and live musicians from the 70's. Anyway i'm not gonna whinge anymore i've said my piece so i'm leaving this page for good.

  • What the hell about no instruments... many of todays songs are with no real instruments! And did we forget all the songs with only synthesizers of Donna? I Feel Love, Sunset People, Our Love, Now I Need You, Working The Midnight Shift, Lucky etc. etc. etc. It the voice that matters, not the source of the music. Her voice (and writing abilities) are timeless, supreme and uncomparable.

  • First of all.... I Feel Love, Sunset People, Our Love and Lucky did have real drums in them. If you listen carefully you can hear Keith Forsey's Bass drum and snare drum. Second....The source of the music is very important! Without a good band in the recording studio the voice is tainted and useless! Third.....Todays singers all use cheap drum machines instead of real drummers that's why today's music is crap and pointless! And I am a huge Donna Summer fan myself and even I can't accept this!

  • you truly are the queen of disco i love you

  • She is STILL extremely hot!!!

  • love this song

  • This song is beautiful! I love Donna Summer. She is an amazing singer!!!!!

  • True, true and maybe so...but I definitely wouldn't call the album a "hit"...I stand firmly behind my opinion.

  • Donna...I love ya and have been a HUGE fan of yours since the early days of Disco...but this won't do it for you. The young people aren't going to buy your music, as is made obvious by low sales of this album. You need to appeal to the people who put you where you are today! THAT would make it fly off the shelves! We miss DONNA SUMMER!

  • This album "Crayons" sold exactly where it was projected to. 100-150K on Burgundy Records (label for heritage artists) who still want to release their product. There is no advertising budget, promotion, big budget singles, video etc... With that being said, No radio, no promotion whatsoever, she came in as the second highest on Burgundy behind Chaka Khan, also charting similar numbers #17(Hot 100) & #5 (R&B) Not too shabby.

  • Sorry But my 5y/o Niece Loves Stamp Your Feet. And a High School in Chicago the Seniors Students danced this song on their graduation:)

  • I see that you agree with me about this new brand of Donna Summer style music. But I think the younger generation of kids would buy this album and enjoy it as it's their generation of music. But for me and you and the older fan base from the 1970's this music is a big disapointment for us! Her voice still sounds like magic but the music is shit with no real instruments and musicians. I think Donna Summer has been brainwashed by all these younger artists. No such thing as disco music anymore!

  • i agree

  • love her talented and she is still gorgeous

  • I think Donna is trying to make music that will appeal to new fans and with the times. Like I said, she can carry her own and I LOVE her! :) If she gets a lot of flack from the majority of older fans... she may go back to her old style..Maybe she will make an album that is close to the 70's era...let's ask her..lol...however, she is tight!! Woohoo...now, excuse me...I'm going to find the song, "Last Dance" get up and boogie with my puppy...want to join me? lol

  • Yes, that's it. Cher's "Believe" but with a soulful twist. Love it. Glad to hear Donna's pipes again. That lady can sing!

  • Donna Summer still has the same vocal range. I appreciate that she can still "carry" for being in her 60's. I think she's trying to sing what appeals to the style now. However, parts of the song reminded me of Cher's song, "Believe". Even though I like Cher, Donna's range is tight. She sang with Streisand and held her own. With this album and the sales, she may know what songs work. DS still has it going on and still a DIVA.

  • yes Such great sing Like Cher or Donna can remove theselves for news song !! at 60 fantastic !!! go to listen Cyndi Lauper (bring ya to the brink cd) great songs too!! :p

  • it's good and catchy, it is different tho

only just realised she has a new album out lol

  • WTF IS this 3 $ Budget video...............

  • hey michael jackson did a video with a budget of like $24

  • Same here! There's no real drums in it! She let me down with this album!!

  • How old is this girl/woman ??

  • 60 i think

  • Hey Hilduff16,

Donna Summer has not constantly had to reinvent her image and use expensive videos to show her talent. This video just shows her strength as an artist and singer not an actress.. I like Madonna but honestly when it comes to just the music, I'll take donna any day over Madonna.

  • Thank god someone besides me understand what talent is. I like Madonna too but we all know (including hilduff16) who has the talent. hilduff16 must be very young.

  • Me too! I'm a huge fan of Donna Summer but this album ''Crayons'' really let me down! There's no live musicians playing real instruments in it. And it's all computer music just like evey other piece of crap music that comes out in pop music today. I was expecting a return to the disco sound of the late 70's with recording musicians in the studio to back her up. Honestly I love her and I love her old music but this sounds nothing like ''Bad Girls-The Wanderer or Love To Love You Baby. (Oh Donna!)

  • Awesome song, she's still got it going on. Although I like a variety of styles and types of music, I dont think "a return to the disco sound of the late 70's", Adam, would have appealed to the broad range of listeners that is necessary for cd sales today. I think she made a wise choice.

  • I respect you're comment but I strongly disagree with you. Was she on crack or something when she made this album? I mean she is know where near short of money, so why not make music like she used too? By making music like this and selling CD's to kids with this music means she's sold out now and has clearly forgotton about her old fan base. Donna Summer is all for the market these days and will never be the same again! I'm glad you like this album but as for me it is not what fans would expect.

  • lol, gotta move with the times, but i understand what u mean. die hard fans would expect something diff i guess. i guess I enjoy such a variety of music, that it just hit me differently. This album gets me moving.

  • I'm not moving on to shit music without any musicians in it! I'll stay in the 1970's where artists made real music with real drums. But i'm happy for everybody else that likes this music, I personally just can't dig it! I'm too old fashioned.

  • What do you mean on crack? Are you nuts

How could you say that about this Diva?

Fans had been expecting a new CD from her and now that it has been released we all are excited, so Stamp your feet too.

  • It's my opinion of this album buddy so don't get angry! We all have a right to voice our opinions. Honestly does this sound like the old Donna Summer? Where's Keith Forsey's big disco beat? There is no drums on this album, there is no Giorgio Moroder or Pette Belotte and there is no musicians or real instruments in any of the songs. Yeah her voice is still fantastic but the music is very poor sounding.

  • I agree totally. There is no "meat" to this song! Just her voice and a sterile drum machine! It's hard to classify this as real MUSIC! Donna, you are the disco QUEEN and you STILL have a fantastic voice...we know what you can do! You could put out an album that would knock the socks off your original fans and likely gain many NEW ones!! Kids aren't the only ones that buy music, people over 40 WOULD buy it...if there was MUSIC to buy!!

  • Donna's in great voice, but she's not going to be a hit today with 80s material.

  • gosh how amazing she looks at the age of 60 !

  • Classic Original Diva for 34 years and counting.

  • The Queen is Back!

  • YOU GO GIRL!!!!! YOU R TIMELESS!!!

  • Donna looks FANTASTIC at 60 years old. She still sounds Fantastic after 35 years of recording. She is my favorite female singer of all time. Madonna's face could never look like that and we all know about her (vocals) which aren't that great could never sound like Donna's.

  • amazing video.......Donna is fantastic!!!!

  • She has been always a great singer, not a dancer, why some idiot is asking for a video of Her dancing ? Anyone can dance, but not anyone can sing like Her

  • I cant really imagine someone at the age of 60 break dancing :] , but nicee music :D love <3

  • Maybe the reason Donna is not shown dancing is that over the years, she has, um, acquired some substance of success (read: she put on weight). No matter. Donna could tip the scales at 300 pounds and we, her fans, would still love her.

  • Love it, The Queen hopefully makes a comeback. Going to see her at the Hardrock next month.

  • Me too!!! I will be there...

  • Yawn! She could have done way better. I love the new CD but come on, if you're puttin out dance songs, have some um... Dancing? In the video! She does look good though

  • Word. The music is good but the video is cheap.

  • Crayons is just-AMAZING-but its a shame that radio is so mired down in the small talented pop of today that this GEM may go unnoticed and also Donna should FIRE her marketing people!!!

  • not bad at all.

  • She's still looking great!

  • mtu bommmmmmmmmmmmm =]

  • Great singer with a great voice. I have bought the new Crayons CD and it's full of beautiful songs of different kind. I'm really disappointed it was so underrated.

But now I noticed she's up again in the Billboard charts, maybe it's having a second chance for success.

  • Met her in person about 15 years ago. Nice lady. She's still an attractive lady today. At least I think so looking from my 40+ eyes LOL!

  • Mrs Summer is one great peice of work :)

You can tell she has fun and feels happy when singing. She's great :D

  • Donna has it all. I'm not a fan of Madonna, but Madonna is great at marketing. Donna is more interested in caring for her family and rightfully so. You would never see Madonna give up touring or promoting herself for her family.

  • omgz the queen is back Thank You Audi Us for showing me alsome song

  • Are you kidding?!!! Obviously you don't have an ear for music. HHhhhmmmmmm????

  • This song is amazing!!!!

  • cool sound =)

  • old song but still good (Y)

    xD

  • She is amazing... this is top hit song... love this ;)

  • She's still hott

  • I hate U.S. radio. fuckin' politics in radio & the music biz has just gone too far!!!!! These fuckin' assholes play the same 5 songs every hour & they SUCK!!!! And a song & artist like this just gets ignored!!!!! Just goes to show where the American culture is headed. It's amazing how this has become a hit on YouTube without airplay & how radio is just diminishing. Rock on Donna Summer. You are still loved by many!!!

  • She is still so awesome and beautiful!!!

  • AUDITION!!!!!!

  • Me encanto esta cancion!

  • this songs makes me wana get up and dance everytime! lol i love it!! :D

  • Compra su nuevo cd Crayons muy bueno!

Ya tiene 3 #1 On Billboard Hot Dance Charts 2 en 2008 y uno en 2009!

  • A-MAZING. DONNA R O C K S!

  • She doing well on the dance charts she came out with 3 songs on the dance charts and her cd crayons made it Madonna cd failed on the dance charts taylor dayne cd when 1 on the dance charts but also flopped but her didn,t .

  • madonnas "hard candy" was certified gold, "hard candy" knocked mariah careys album out of the #1 spot on the billboard album charts, madonnas "sticky and sweet" tour grossed 120 million.... dollars that is..... so before you claim somethng has failed, do your research first, in comparison donnas "crayons" fell of the charts after 6 weeks barely selling 100,000 copies, ya she got 3 dance hits, which is odd considering this wasnt aimed at or for the "dance crowd"....

  • Madonna's an old non singing talentless skank, the only ones buying her music are gays who want to be her.

  • She's a business woman, that has made her million's with a "gimmick" that she has reinvented time and time again, since the early '80's. But it is sad what some of her fan base is somewhat mostly made up of, yet she still will sell, sell, sell!! She has got the "Lucky Star" under her belt for a little longer..Hey! if you had it, you'd do what you can, while you can too! Am I right??

  • Madonna has made her monies, no doubt, but Ms. Summer has made history & lots of monies for the record industry, in a small period of time, for sales in the

70's part 80's, while Madonna has had 26 years w/ very few breaks to do so. If you take Donna sales @ todays rates in her time, they'd far surpass Madonna's. No comparison, now you do your homework, God Bless....make a great day happen!

  • your damm right doula 1956 , i think she has sold in excess of 150.000,000 albums world wide if you look at statistics...she is a fucking legend,

  • Yes, and if she had better legal counsel at the time, she would have gain lots more. If you think of the millions of people in the world, and to accomplish what she has, it's most certainly "Above Reproach" no matter what!! Thanks for your feedback! Make a great year happen!

  • whats the difference between Donna & Madonna? one word: Talent... Donna has it and Madonna does not.

  • Yep you are right.... but Madonna never is going to has that voice....with all her money all, but never that wonderfull voice!

  • Donna Summer beats Madonna every way. :-)

  • I totally agree with you. Donna is 60 and Madonna is 50. Madonna was NEVER much of a singer (truth be told). In the end it proves that talent supersedes dancing and always trying to use sex appeal to sell records. Donna looks great and still has that POWEFUL voice. Must remember before Madonna there was Donna.

  • "In the end it proves that talent supersedes dancing and always trying to use sex appeal to sell records."

Except Donna doesn't prove that at all considering Madonna is still a huge star all over the world to people of all ages, still sells mega amounts of records, and no one under the age of 50 even know who Donna is...

  • The difference is that Madonna is not talented. Madonna was a trained dancer. She HUSTLED her way to get in and then found a way to market herself and use sex appeal, shocking techniques, and music video to make it work for her. In the beginning of her musical career you might have been TOO YOUNG to know this but when Madonna came out in 1982 we all thought she was black because of the sound of the song '' Everybody''. I used to like her until she did the song American Life. There's more.

  • Donna is a pure talent. Well known for her songwriting and of course her amazing vocal abilities. She was the sex goddess of the 70's. Now she's older and more mature and changed her image. The vocals are still there after 35 years of performing. She still looks great despite her weight gain. Her concerts always sell out even when she does not have any new material. I was at her concert last year there were lots of people in different age groups from at least 21-75. Donna is fierce.

  • You might not consider Madonna's hustle a talent but I sure do. If everyone could do what Madonna does then she wouldn't be the legend she is today. I am not even a Madonna fan but your comment about Donna being 60 and that proves her talent supersedes Madonna makes absolutely no sense. Madonna is 100 times more relevant than Donna and will continue to be forever. I came to this video because I like this song, I don't listen to Madonna's music. But I know ridiculous statements when I see them.

  • I will pray for you. You just don't get it. Bye Bye now.

  • I do get it, I get that you're too far up Donna's ass to think clearly and you're completely biased. Yeah Donna's talent really supersedes Madonna.. love the budget that this music video got! Sure looks like people are investing a lot into her talent!

  • Like i said before when you have talent you don't have to rely on a music video. Yeah Donna's video is scaled down but when you have talent it doesn't matter. That's what Madonna's career was ALWAYS relying on (MUSIC VIDEO). Apparently you must like Madonna because you are defending her. You must be "Deeper and Deeper" in Madonna's ass. Bye Bye now. :)

  • Both Donna & Madonna are great talents in diferent ways. Both reached top mega super stardom around the golbe. Most consider Donna as the Madonna of the 70's & early 80's. The reason Donna dosent still sell as well today is that she got tired of fame early on and wanted out. You can't take years off at a time between CD's and expect to sell well. Almost like handing the baton over any Madonna that may come along. Donna choose to live her life out of the spotlight and to each their own...

  • THE BESSSSSST!!!!!!!

  • jajajajaja.. sos comico boob.. jajajajaja

    comentabas y todo =)

  • =o i love u

  • ahh i love this song!!!!

  • Isn't it hard to believe that Donna Summer is 60? I remember her from the good old wild days! I've been a fan for 30 years! She's incredible!

  • This should be a huge hit, but U.S radio is so constrained by corporate that they can't break out and let us hear good stuff like this. She's great.

  • My high school's show choir is doing this song for competitions and it's AMAZING!! :)

  • Wow,,thats awesome.. people really love this song.. (see comments) If radio would pick it up, I bet it could be re-released and become a hit!! good luck!

  • Hi people I like very much the Sweet Romance but I dunno from where can I get it, if someone would be so kind and upload it to the youtube it would be SUPER !!!! :) Greetings to the Donna Summer funs !!!

  • It is on the Once upon a time cd. I have it on my iPod...

  • I was just head over heels in love with Donna summers, I was 13 when I bought my first single, Mc Arthurs Park, then I waited in line outside a local record store in South Philly after school to get a copy of "Bad Girls" Those were the days in the late 70's, She is and always will be my number one , rock on baby! Your still hot, continued success!

  • i only kno this song from

    a game called Audition.

    We danced to this song.

It has a really good beat.

  • I love this woman. She deserves the best.

  • She is still so beautiful after all these years. Donna, I love you. Every time I see her, it takes me back to when I was a kid in the 70's. She still makes me blush. I'm 44 now and still have a boyhood crush on her. lol

  • dirtyankee this 39 year old is telling you to GET IN LINE!

I'm STUNNED at how she looks EXACTLY like she did on the "Last Dance for Love" Album.

  • REALITY CHECK FOR JACKTHESPRATT'

  • MAN...after all these years..still makes want to jump up and dippity do it!!!!!!

  • @nick She is an amazing woman and a christian too-she doesn't get the attention that she should;she has an amazing voice and song writing ability;her sound is entirely different from what she did in the past in the disco era;I'm in true awe of this woman and her amazing talents;she is also an amazing painter as well;I love her new album and the entire reinvention of herself in the midst of all the young hip hop artists;her come back is what real talent and true artistry is all about-great Diva!

  • Donna Summer... Após você que vieram todas as outras, você é simplesmente a percursora das Divas, até Madonna iniciou diblando suas músicas... Ela também sabia quem era a melhor... AMO DONNA SUMMER...

  • Donna is the best! I called Norfolk State (a mostly black college) and told them to learn this song for their marching band---it WOULD work!

  • this old chick is on fire, this song is the bomb, i mean donna continues to do it

  • This is not the actual video right? If not, when is the actual video coming out??

  • Unfortunately This is the only promo, Donna's new record company does not have a budget for a full out video. Yes, what ashame, so many people love this song. I see this video being played at all the dance and video bars. Look at the video response above for some fan remix video's of STAMP. Donna did put out and paid for the cool video for her latest single release "Fame" Search; "Donna Summer 2009 hit Fame" to view it. thanks..

  • oh i looove dis song i heard a glimps of the song on the radio and i had to hear the whole song! it's a really gudd song!

  • WhaaTTTT..i cant get the Embed..man i really love this song and i cant put this song on my froendster...Dx

  • I love this song!!!!!!!!

  • donna roxx!

  • You worked in the music biz? For 15 years? When? Must've been in the 50's since you think Cher can still score #1's lol Sounds hot anyway! :)
