He's actually better than Chikane and Himeko, who piss me off with their stereotypical seme/uke archetypes (though Souma does suffer a bit from the Shonen effect). Plus, Chikane is a Mary Sue (Chikane=Perfect=Mary Sue) and Himeko is a boring, angsty and annoying damsel in distress that always has to have either Souma, Chikane or both come to her rescue.

@ gxsus...there a lot of anime that involves robots which has an amazing story like code geass ^^ but to tell the thruth, robots in this anime really sucks. But the story is good.. I recomend you watching Code geass if you want action with a great story, for love you can always watch Clannad,kanon or Air ^^ Just saying these animes are great XD
