  • Only Dennis Hopper could have played the drug crazed reporter in this movie like this. LOL

  • Dennis R.I.P

  • The young lad??? is it him out of royle family??? anthony???

  • no it isnt

  • no this guy is Charlie Creed Miles

    Anthony is Ralf Little

  • A genuine deep, moving, heartfelt, gritty image of one mans personality......... FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This scene always stood out. It's so funny in it's dull normality. When your drunk or stoned and you got a mate who jumps up to quote film stuff as you're watching it. I always thought it was a great scene for it's realism. Oldman was smart to include that scen- bleak but funny- and Charlie Creed Miles face as he watches Sweeney play out the Hopper speech is a picture. Like "oh for f*** sake, not again!" and just bored and out of it.These 2 were great in this film.

  • Brilliantly said, TCF. I'd just like to add that Steve Sweeney is a great actor, it's such a shame he's not more widely known. More, please!

  • this is soooo cool. right now im at the bit in apocalypse now where dennis hopper says this bit. and LAST NIGHT i watched nil by mouth. 2 completley different films. 2 fucking excellent piece of work. fucking brilliant u mug!!!

    :)

  • it's about what junkies do when they stay indoors, quote shit

  • I loved that scene when I saw the movie. It's one of the examples of genuine humor in this one. It's funny--Danny is a character capable of more than just looking grungy and bad-ass. There's a moment where Danny and Billy wail on a guy for shouldering Danny while he was holding his little pet dog.

  • Chuffinpukka you dozy c-unit, semi-literate punks shouldn't play internet critic. Have you seen the film or are you talking shite, I think we all know which it is, you plonker. The script is one of the best examples of naturalistic dialogue i've ever heard. It's not as if they remade Apoc Now is it, just paid a cheeky homage to a particularly relevant scene.

  • this is deep, great film
