@ 1:41 is a silver car looking just like the Holden Manaro from Australia only this would be badged Pontiac GTO quiet possibly. Btw nice video this Labrie trucks are neat i had a little tour around the Manufacturing warehouse in Canada when i visited
Excellent!! Love that tipper design as well as the little sound the packer makes as it begins extending or retracting, kinda lets you know where it's at lol :) Definite 5 stars and fav!
That is one NICE truck! I wish I could operate one as nice as this. It is very similar to NYmegaman's. Very cool paint scheme on the side! Great job on the series r6man!
The cage is a nice addition, these trucks usually have a hard time tackling large loads or cardboard and they usually wreak havoc when you're constantly loading materials into the trucks.
A while back, these guys use to leave cardboard stacks for the greens guy to pick up, but nowadays I see drivers with older Labries taking apart the piles and slowly loading it in.
The cage just seems small - like it would fill up really fast. But I see your point on trying to load boxes in that split hopper. Thanks for the input!
Ohhh yeah...trying to stuff cardboard in the split hopper is a pain in the ass. We require residents to cut cardboard in 2 x 2 ft sections, otherwise I tag it and leave it if it is too big. It wastes alot of time to fight with it and it usually gets jammed.
Here in SF, they ask for all cardboard to be cut up small enough to fit into your recycling cart.
I've seen a slot of drivers with the older fixed-chute Labries without the cage (it's more of a shelf) chuck cart-side piles of cardboard into the street-side trash compartment and pour a whole lot of stuff on it before they hit pack.. It's really the only way for them to take it since recycling always gives em a hard time by default anyway.
Yeah, i think most split bodied MSL drivers have all done their share of just tossing the cardboard into the trash side because it is easier to handle. Do any of their split body Labries have the crusher panel like mine does?
From the looks of it, all the the split Labries here in SF have crusher panels for the street side with the exception of maybe two or three spares that don't. For these new ones, crusher panel fits more, on the older ones, the 'panel' is more shaped like a sledge hammer...
It seems that all their spare trucks are the unique ones, there's a spare that's probably the only one in the fleet with a split tailgate, similar to yours in size.
From what I've seen, all of their split trucks have separate factory installed tailgates per compartment, given that recycling has to go to Norcal's Pier 96 Facility half way across the city from the transfer station. I see most trucks dump out recycling first since the transfer station is also where they house the trucks.. so really no use making two trips to the transfer station.
I think they only split trucks in Norcal of SF's fleet with a single bubble tailgate and an individual compartment door housed inside of the tailgate were their handful of Dempster Recycle-Pacs.
4:27 was that waste mixed coz blue gone on trash one and black one on recycling one.

Great vid! I bet it's annoying for that driver to have to stuff all those boxes in that little storage area behind the cab. 5* and Playlisted!

Yeah all of ours only have the crusher panel on the street side as well. And thats the garbage side for us. The sledge hammer thing sounds weird!
Do most of their trucks just have one tailgate and independent doors on the compartments?
