how much i love this play, its hard to say that out of all the productions i have seen, this is not the best. alot of fanfare and celebrty, right here. It is possible to perform this at any rock and roll venue. but under the riight direction, i love neil, hes from my hometown. but this performance is not my favorite. im sorry rentheads.

i saw this on the 8th n i started crying during this song. god i love Aaron so much *-* i love him from N2N n i feel so lucky i was able to see him live <3 i'm such a hopeless fangirl, and seeing him in my absolute favorite musical.. it was amazing. he''s no adam pascal, but he's beautiful and is voice is to die for.

Too much deep breathing/exaggerated exhaling. Put me off.. other than that he sang it well. 6.5/10, the overacting was a major turn-off. If you have to carry what your voice lacks by 'fuf!-fing' your phrases, you can't truly interpret the song.

Aaron does a good job, he is a great actor! But he doesn't have the grittiness like Will Chase or Adam Pascal had in their voice. It kinda sounds, idk, a little pop-ish? But I love Aaron either way so whatever! :)

he is no roger...come on...he reminds me of a sheltered little kid who was thrown out into the wilderness for the first time...roger is gutsy, gritty, and angry...he is hiv positive for god sakes...this guy is too polished and naive...

@zh3ll I know. I couldn't believe this was the guy from Gossip Girl. I was completely stunned speechles when he started this solo. His voice was just so amazing, and with the bowl acoustics, it just blew me away! I didn't even know he was the same guy from GG until I got home and googled him. He played such a preppy, weak character on that show. I am still shocked that this is the same guy. Who knew he had such an incredible voice, and could play such a raw, tortured character like Roger.

Thanks for uploading. Was there on sat night. I was stunned at how good this guy was. He blew me away. I remember turning to my friends and saying, this guy should be on broadway. I never saw Adam Pascal do this live, but I have seen Rent several times on broadway, and I thought this actor definitely did the role of Roger justice. When I got home after the show and googled him, I wasn't surprised that he had already been on broadway before.

When I heard Arron Tveit was going to be Roger I cringed a bit. I thought he was going to be much to "pretty" to be Roger. And this song, one of my favorites, usually tells me if the actor can really sing... especially the note "time dies". Aaron did a fantastic job. Not quite Pascal worthy, but believe me I've heard some TERRIBLE Rogers. Aaron did this song and his part justice.

Roger is supposed to be the best male voice in RENT, very deep, strong with passion, specially in this song....but this guy can't really pull it off, i think he could play softer musical parts, maybe something like a fiyero from Wicked, but he just isn't a great Roger

He actually was Fiyero in Wicked at one point, so that's a good call. I saw him in Next to Normal on Broadway, and it was one of the best performances ive ever seen.

The guy can sing yes, but he is missing the hard edged lived-in voice that the character Roger needs. Great singer, but I'm sorry, his voice is too boy band for Roger...

I saw him a while ago in Wicked, and also more recently in Next to Normal, but I had no idea that he was even in this production of Rent. He is amazing, and I can't wait to see what he does next.

Aaron did an amazing job espicialy since he had big shoes to fill, cause for me Adam Pascal will forever be Roger and no one can compare, but Aaron held his own and OMG he so incrediably hot! Way to go NPH you and the cast did amazing job, let's just hope for the fans like myself who couldn't make , you will put this on dvd cause i would totally buy it!

THIS IS PERFECT CASTING RIGHT HERE!!!!!!!! Not much of a rock edge to the voice, but you know what, Aaron makes it work well, and he brings Roger to life, he plays him as more of a sad, vulnerable character, as opposed to the tough, mad character Adam Pascal portrayed. Both are different, and both are amazing!!!!!! :)

I wish he would have been a little more angry here. Roger's vulnerable but he's pissed, too. He's mad at the world and at April for taking the easy way out. Right now he's showing the vulnerable side of Roger, and it doesn't really seem like he ever gets really really mad. Don't get me wrong, he sounds good... But this song really sets the tone for how Roger's feeling for the rest of the show. I just think he could have done more with it.

aaron's like my number one obsession/reason for breathing and all that, and i can still admit that this is a really (rare) weak performance by him. he's really flat, but the whole production has this issue. i think it's gotta be something with the acoustics of the bowl.

...except in terms of hudgens. that's just a complete lack of talent in the first place.

@KonkowTwo Same here. I had never heard of him until I saw him last sat. I had to go home and google him to figure out what else he was in. That's when I realized he was the same guy on Gossip girl. His name was actually listed last on the list on the jumbotron. I guess he is the least famous in Hollywood. Once he started in on this song, though, he completely outshined everybody. I was completely mesmerized. His voice and performance just blew me away, and I've seen rent a bunch of times.
