For this new-old Amoral thing... Look Ari is a great singer, that is a FACT and if you are fan of the band you are fan always,you people have to accept that Ari is now part of the band.. .If you dont like it, dont listen to them and stop talking shit about Ari.
When I first heard this I thought that the singer was 15 or 16... The song isn't bad but I wish that they hadn't blatantly ripped off Lamb of God at the end.
I recently got into Ari's solo stuff and I found out he was in this band. I think he is really good with them, but that is probably because I only started listening to them today and I haven't heard any of their other stuff.
So I JUST started listening to Amoral, and this album is all that I've heard. But looking at it... they'd be better off without Ari. The whole band is full of really strong musicians, but his voice leaves a lot to be desired honestly.
You can find 50 other singers just like him, he doesn't bring the real power to the stage I'd expect when I hear the band playing.
I'd buy this album... if it was all instrumental. Add Ari and I won't buy it. That's all.

Ari's singing is ok to me, but my opinion is that he dosen't beat the singing of young Bruce Dickinson and young James Hetfield. And I think that Iron Maiden is better than Amoral, but Amoral isn't very old band and they have chance to make their band very popular.

yeah, yeah, whatever....i prefer this new amoral, better than the old one....sure, he ruined the metal style, but to be fairly honest, i´m not into death metal....the music the old amoral used to make may not have been death metal, but if there´s even a small piece of death screaming, it´s death metal to me.
Think this as an opportunity: they might create something new in the whole metal genre, combining MDM-elements to pure vocals. And this is coming from MDM-fan, listening to Mors Principium Est, Profane Omen, Insomnium, Omnium Gatherum, In Flames, Diablo, Ghost Brigade and such. I too did like old Amoral much better, but hey, we can't really change that anymore. Amoral did really weird and questionable decision here, but how about making the most of it instead of whining about past?
to look on it impartial: on the first 3 albums Amoral were Tech Death Metal, I liked it that way and think they should keep on with this. Now with Koivunen I first thought what a gay shit, but after a while i recognized that they now sound like Powermetal. So if you compare them to the old Amoral you can say they're gay now, but if you compare them with Power Metal they're good.

Every few months I come back and try to listen to this new album to see if I was just being drastic. And every few months I end up disappointing myself more and more. Show Your Colors is an abomination.. What happened to this band? Reptile Ride was a masterpiece and they somehow follow it up with possibly the worst Metal album I've ever heard. eh the vocals arent bad, but mix in some growling with the clean, and not such a butt rock chorus. Bands like into eternity mix in the clean vocals with the dirty ones and it sounds awesome while still staying super heavy. this was just bad.
I think the new and old Amoral are good in their own way, eitha more rock with the new or metal with the old, both are good in my opinion. Ari is well good in his own genre and doesnt sound like a girl nor does he look like avril. Keep On Rockin!

@jave22 Well I was confused when heard that Ari is Amoral's new singer. I was like ''Oh no!'', But it wasn't so bad thing after all. They wanted to change their style and that's not Ari's fault. It was decided before he joined Amoral. Ari isn't my favorote singer but he's not bad singer.

@Colma666 Ah, I see. I actually don't know how the story goes on this band, I just knew this year that Ari was singing here. I like him, he has an amazing vocal range, he's voice is "sweet" up, probably he's even a countertenor, but anyway... I hope he had a nice un-god christmas haha =P

To be honest, when I first heard this album, I found it to be absolutely abhorrent. But after giving it a chance, it's a pretty good Power Metal album. You gotta realize though, a band can't go from playing face melting Tech Death to Power Metal and not expect a backlash from their old fans.

Think this as an opportunity: they might create something new in the whole metal genre, combining MDM-elements to pure vocals. And this is coming from MDM-fan, listening to Mors Principium Est, Profane Omen, Insomnium, Omnium Gatherum, In Flames, Diablo, Ghost Brigade and such. I too did like old Amoral much better, but hey, we can't really change that anymore. Amoral did really weird and questionable decision here, but how about making the most of it instead of whining about past?

to look on it impartial: on the first 3 albums Amoral were Tech Death Metal, I liked it that way and think they should keep on with this. Now with Koivunen I first thought what a gay shit, but after a while i recognized that they now sound like Powermetal. So if you compare them to the old Amoral you can say they're gay now, but if you compare them with Power Metal they're good.

I to loved Niko, and the music they played with him, but Ari ain't bad, he's fucking good to sing, and i agree the songs on "show your colours" are pretty boring if you compare with the 3 former albums, but I've heard that he've learned to growl, and for all you know, they might get heavier, growling ain't easy, you got to be a good singer to manage growl, and Ari is a damn good singer as i said, so don't flame Ari for joining the band (Niko left btw, they dind't kick him) ^_^

Every few months I come back and try to listen to this new album to see if I was just being drastic. And every few months I end up disappointing myself more and more. Show Your Colors is an abomination.. What happened to this band? Reptile Ride was a masterpiece and they somehow follow it up with possibly the worst Metal album I've ever heard. I hope they learn their lesson and go back to their old style.. Until then, R.I.P. Amoral

eh the vocals arent bad, but mix in some growling with the clean, and not such a butt rock chorus. Bands like into eternity mix in the clean vocals with the dirty ones and it sounds awesome while still staying super heavy. this was just bad.
