@Deadsim9 Both paid off by mega corporations and banks...it's called the left-right paradigm. Ron Paul is the ONLY hope. If you don't study each and everyones background, what they supported and what they voted for and who funds them...and you still don't vote for Ron Paul, then I hope you repent to God when the time comes. In England, if we had the media saying a man running for president, number 1 or 2 in polls couldn't win, and they ignored them...wait, this wouldn't happen. Only in America.
@Deadsim9; WE THE PEOPLE would be in HUGE trouble if that ever happens, gridlock is a good thing and was puposely designed into the system by the founding fathers. It is designed to protect US from legislation that is passed in haste and based on emotion or unreasonable thinking. Every time Congress passes a new law guess who it effects??? It's not THEM!
@Deadsim9 no. democrats and republicans are natural enemies, and an enemy isn't someone to get rid of, it's someone to love and embrace. the reason why is because the natural need to outdo someone you hate pushes us to be better. but in this case they're trying to outdo each other by screwing up america completely. so you might be right in this case.

The Bear's thin voice still amazes me, so simple, clear and bluesy that I remember how much we loved Bob Hite's band down here in México, since drummer Fito de la Parra and bassist Olaf were mexican musicians, living in LA where Canned Heat started in the sixties.
MAN!...The Blind Owl...on that great slide!...Awesome song really kicks butt! 'God Bless the Blind Owl"...Was just 40 years ago, seemed liked yesterday when we lost him!
Alan had a LOT of problems with depression throughout his life and handled it (badly) through booze and other forms of self-medication (I'm his first-cousin by marriage and have heard some of the stories from his family. I was a big fan long before I found that I'd married Alan's cousin 30+ years ago.). Alan truly had tons of musical talent but he also had too many internal demons to ever have much chance at a happy life. What a pity. Canned Heat was a great band. We need more like it now.
