Actually test have shown that a taser does not affect a pace maker. In fact 97 percent of suspects tased where uninjured, 2 percent injured from falls, less than 1 percent died due to drug over doses and medical issues. I taser has never been found to be the primary cause of death. They in fact have been considered the safest weapon for both the officer and the suspect.

You never get PHYSICAL against a suspect that's not PHYSICALLY resisting. That's an iron clad rule. This guy was obviously not resisting. Even swearing at an officer does not get you hit or harmed physically in any way. If he was swearing, it should be just mentioned in the report and filed a suit. Excellent job editing the video so no one can see or hear what escalated the situation for him to be tasered. You can see the guys mouth moving saying something before he gets tasered. Just cut that part out and you will have the video perfect to make cops look bad. When they investigate the whole video the cop gets a raise and its something to laugh about in rollcall.

@AreYouConcerned those studies were done when cops first had tasers which was back in the 1990s sometime. they were a relatively new weapon and werent very advanced or save but much safer than a gun. deaths realted with cops has actually gone down significantly due to tasers. are they lethal? no not at all (unless you have some sort of heart condition) and to carry a taser you have to get shot by one. if they are so lethal why arent there cops dying from them?

It did Not appear that the officer was in the right. He did a drive stun on the dudes neck before he even attempted to put hands on him. A drive stun causes pain but doesn't completely disable the suspect. That cop should be fired.

He then proceeded to taser the man until he was unconscience which says it was extreme. resisting arrest wouldnt fit in to the time line of this clip, if he had resisted arrest he wouldve been on the ground already, it wouldnt matter if he had made a threat, the man was physically cooperating at that point as you can see with his hands on the car as the officer most likely instructed, this is proof of police abuse as the cop doesnt stop tasing the man even while he is on the ground, all i can infer from this clip is that it is another example of racism in the police force.

You never get PHYSICAL against a suspect that's not PHYSICALLY resisting. That's an iron clad rule. This guy was obviously not resisting. Even swearing at an officer does not get you hit or harmed physically in any way. If he was swearing, it should be just mentioned in the report and filed a suit. Excellent job editing the video so no one can see or hear what escalated the situation for him to be tasered. You can see the guys mouth moving saying something before he gets tasered. Just cut that part out and you will have the video perfect to make cops look bad. When they investigate the whole video the cop gets a raise and its something to laugh about in rollcall.

What happened before this video has every difference to do with it. He may have threatened him. To show a unbiased view and have a good argument you must show the full story. As far as your opinion on tasers, I call BS on the whole taser have killed more people than any other weapon from cops, because no death has ever been caused primarly by a taser, so unless there has been less than 0 deaths with everyothe weapon then your stat is wrong. The suspect doesn't have to show leathal force.

@AreYouConcerned those studies were done when cops first had tasers which was back in the 1990s sometime. they were a relatively new weapon and werent very advanced or save but much safer than a gun. deaths realted with cops has actually gone down significantly due to tasers. are they lethal? no not at all (unless you have some sort of heart condition) and to carry a taser you have to get shot by one. if they are so lethal why arent there cops dying from them?

Only about 10 people throughout the whole country have been killed in RELATION to tasers. 100% percenty of those who died were high at the time. Now this particular video. It did Not appear that the officer was in the right. He did a drive stun on the dudes neck before he even attempted to put hands on him. A drive stun causes pain but doesn't completely disable the suspect. That cop should be fired.

The ponit is that the guy had his hands on the car and showed no signs of resisting arrest. The cop should of tried to handcuff the individual before pulling out his taser and using it. He then proceeded to taser the man until he was unconscience which says it was extreme. Thank God the cop did it on camera because the stats would show that only 1 in a 100 probably get videotaped of police brutality. Tasers are used to inflict punnishment not to subdue a suspect. Tases should be banned!

resisting arrest wouldnt fit in to the time line of this clip, if he had resisted arrest he wouldve been on the ground already, it wouldnt matter if he had made a threat, the man was physically cooperating at that point as you can see with his hands on the car as the officer most likely instructed, this is proof of police abuse as the cop doesnt stop tasing the man even while he is on the ground, all i can infer from this clip is that it is another example of racism in the police force.

As long as cops are allowed to inflict punnishment without a trial by using a tazer gun this type of behavior will increase in nature and volume. Let's eliminate the torture devices and incarcerate the cops that inflict the damage onto other people. If the penalities are not steep enough for the cops, torture will soon be happening for looking at the cop. The secret clubs and societies must be abolished to insure personal liberties are not violated.

That is why all the videos games prepare you for killing people and all these wars prepare those soldiers for police units. The soldiers are obviously unstable and can't differentiate enemy from civilian.

We need to overhaul the screeners. The whole system is flawed. You don't need to see the whole video to know that the cop was way out of line.

For all of you that are saying "I need to see the rest of the video first" I will say this to you right now. No matter what he said to the officer that caused the officer to get upset the officer never has the right to tazer a suspect (innocent until proven guilty) for mouthing off. Aside from that argument they are never trained to use the tazer on the back of a suspects neck. So what else do you need to see?

There has to be a complete overhaul of the system. If the majority of the cops are coming from war torn zones, then maybe they don't have the right state of mind to be policing a society. This is what happens when torture is condoned by the president by not prosecuting those that commit torture or by promoting the practice in the first place. Tasers need to banned. They serve only one purpose and that is to inflict punnishment without a trial even takes place.

The people that say you need to see the whole video have blinders over their eyes on everything else. This is no longer an isolated incident, it is happening everywhere, it is just that this time it was caught on tape.

The guy clearly has his hands on the car before and while he is getting tased. There is no justification for torture no matter how long of a video you watch. This video is like instant replay and even has slow motion to get a better perspective. Your delusional to think this is justified!
