I always wondered what ever happened to that large, metal roller skate they had at the roll-away. They used to keep it in a corner and whoever had a birthday would get a turn riding in it, around the rink. It had little pedals and a steering wheel. I hope they didn't trash it. Thing was awesome!
Great video! Old industrial buildings converted to aprtments and condos. I drove through Providence, RI on I-95 last year...It's sad. That's where our industry (economy) is....gone. Where did you get that 'Boro Drive-In pic? It's like that all over this country. We cleaned up our air quality, and the manufacturing jobs went with it. Now we are at the mercy of China. Damn fools in our Gov't.
I remember going to Bobby's Rollaway as a kid! My aunt and uncle used to go to Jack Wichi's a couple times a month, and of course Jolly Charlies and Capron Park bring back a lot of memories. Thanks..
