You can't harp about the use of bar mix. Bar mix has sugar and hydrolizied egg white so the classic ingredients are in there. For a club that does alot of business to people that want there drinks right away it is ok. Plus you have to watch the health risk of raw eggs. In a more sophisticated setting the classic recipe should be follwed IF the use of raw eggs is permitted.

That is NOT a whiskey sour.

For starters she's serving it in a old-fashioned glass, which is wrong, the whiskey sour is a classic! You can't change that, with that beeing said it's to be served in a cocktail-glass.

The original recipe for the whiskey sour is, as approved with the BAS and marked as an IBMrecipe:

4Cl Bourbon

4Cl Lemonjuice

2Cl Lake (sugarwater)

Shaken and straind in a chilled cocktail-glass.

One can add 1 egg white - or use froathee, but this is mostly optional, ask the customers if they want it.

The cocktail glass isn't ABSOLUTE, oldfashioned are as common as cocktail glasses.

your both wrong, there´s a sour glass for nthe ah, How should i put this: THE GOD DAMN whisy sour. The barmix issue is really just a matter of where the bar is. Ex: in boston alot of people won´t mind barmix, unlike down south where natural egg white is a must.

That's a decent variation on a whiskey sour, but I've always preferred a lemon garnish, and I think using fresh lemon juice and simple syrup beats sweet and sour mix. For just a party cocktail, or something to sip while you're watching the band at the bar, this will do, but a really good whiskey sour is whiskey, lemon juice, simple syrup, and marachino cherry. Some add an egg white.....

I don't even know where to start. To anyone watching this to learn to make drinks know this the only thing accurate is that there is an ounce of whiskey. It is a build drink so first goes the whiskey the you fill with sweet and sour. Just pour it over ice in a rocks glass and garnish with a flag, combination of a cherry and a orange.

Man im glad i went to school for this... you're not very accurate at pouring. i mean its good for some people and a bar that doesnt mind the waste (not to mention the excess in your shaker :P ) other than that, im glad you're making videos on how to make some of these
