  • Obama Increased National Debt More in 4 Days Than Truman and Eisenhower Did in 10 Years! Last week the Obama administration reportedly increased the national debt (in inflation-adjusted dollars) more in a mere four days than the administrations of Presidents Harry Truman and Dwight D. Eisenhower increased it from 1950-1960 — an entire decade

  • The Wall Street "occupiers" are socialists. They are so filled with envy, they want everything that anyone else has.

  • @garebear1015 Really? Wow. Please get an education in political ideologies.

  • @garebear1015 You are 100% correct. Great post

  • @georgekostaras "negotiation" if your gonna argue man learn to spell. we DONT negotiate with terrorist. we kill them. the ONLY time we negotiate with them is when a sniper 1k miles away is negotiating a terrorist in his scopes schedule with god. mostly about a minute or half and hour or days depending on his clearance

  • reagan supporter of money and weapons for a) bin laden b) saddam c) ayatollah chomeini d) menachem begin e) the contras in nicaragua

  • -46.1% were over $28,048/yr, and another 46.2% were from $7,012-$28,048/yr, while only 6% were under $7,012/yr.

NOw I hear the liberals say that unemployment pays pretty well, that it is a real economy stimulator

That is why Nov 2010 went the way it did. And better yet... the reason 2012 is going to go exactly the same way hehehehe

  • "Reaganomics =

-20 million new jobs were created during the Reagan presidency (U.S. Statistical Abstract) -Of these 20 million new jobs: -The average hourly wage was $10/hr.

mmmmm how many jobs now has keynesians economics created now in the last 2 years? mmmmmm odd very odd

    ^_^

  • In practical terms, "Reaganomics" has to be considered one of the reasons that Reagan has come to be thoughtof as a great president. Reaganomics created an unprecedented period of economic prosperity.

It was only the Democratic-controlled congress' insistence on continuing to raise wasteful government spending beyond the means that even this economic boom would support that cut sort the prosperity that Reaganomics brought.

  • @phoenixbornagain apparently you didn't get the memo on David Stockman, the architect of Reaganomics. and those of Nobel Prize winning economists, Reaganomics didn't and hasn't worked. It's lined the pockets of the very wealthy while creating a greater disparity between from the poor. Ronald Reagan is a manufactured hero for Republicans. All seem to have collective amnesia concerning Iran/Contra and the massive deficit spending. There was NOTHING fiscally conservative about Reagan.

  • Where are these men of conviction? Reagan can deliver a message with simple words and the tone of a father. I was 4 when he took office I didn't understand all the words, but I was mesmerized with the 100 days speech and the State of the Union addresses. I grew up listening to this man. I grew up a patriot and loving my country. I look at this modern generation and I weep for the chains of stupidity they already bare and that they will never have the same national leader that I had as a child.

  • god allows the enemy to have beautiful powers and bosterous words, so that we shine like diamonds forever replacing them in eternity.

  • This is Reagan's call to the people of the United States to wake up & struggle for their liberty & freedom which have been systematically trampled upon since 2001 after the 9/11 inside job. Wake Up America !!

  • @easyrecognition Beautiful post! Well said

  • let freedom ring

  • I wish we had Presidents like Reagan, and I say this as a muslim.

  • He was a man who stood for what he believed, and could articulate that to the world. He was a good president, the best we have had since Eisenhower and Truman.

  • One of the differences between a Liberal Democracy like America and a Socialist Democracy like in the European Union or an Authoritarian State like in Cuba. Is that Liberalism puts its faith and trust in the people to live their own lives as they see fit as long as their not hurting anyone else and that Socialism or Authoritarianism puts its faith and trust in Government to run people's lives.

  • A real man and leader, so unlike the boy-child elitist who currently resides in the White House.

  • @w4kwd that was very well put.

  • Wow Ronald Reagan is a great speaker! He could almost make me believe what the government tells us.

  • Whatever power anyone has over us will never violate our freedom as long as that relationship is voluntary. An employer only has power over someone as long as certain conditions are met and the employee can terminate that relationship at any moment. Our government has power over us and as long as we can terminate that relationship we will always be free. All authority has to be voluntary in order to maintain the freedom of its participants.

  • @timbosforporn

    Well said.

  • Today you got the media and the academia indoctrinating the oublic into believing that giving the government the power to run our lives will somehow lead to greater freedom. What morons.

  • Goodness, this man gives me goosebumps every time I hear him speak. This is very powerful.

  • Reagan is a great man.

  • Most of our current problems with terrorism are the result of Ronald Reagan's idiotic policy of arming Islamic extremists and coddling murderous dictators. Reagan once called Osama bin Laden's followers "the moral equivalent of our Founding Fathers".

  • @AtlasShruggery

    Jeez - I'm surprised no-one mentioned that on 9/11

I'd still say he was a good president but his attitude to terrorists (e.g. in not condemning the IRA) is shameful...

  • @tdp1909

That's because the media gave Junior Bush and corrupt Hollywood airhead Ronald reagan a pass on 9-11 despite the fact that both were asleep at the switch on the terrorist threat.

  • @AtlasShruggery Silly Corned Beef-Eater. He used that term in referring to the Contra rebels in Nicaragua. Get the facts.

  • @AtlasShruggery No. He was referring to the Mujahadeen (NOT Al Qaeda) in Afghanistan who were fighting the Russians.

  • What year was this?

  • I was referring to Ronnie Reagan's fast and loose use of the term Freedom Fighter.

  • oh if reagan hadn't given terrorists weapons we'd be in better shape dumb repbulican.

  • so what, they knew each other, big deal

  • really??

    where is your proof??

  • AT THE TIME!!, they were

  • That "October Surprise" nonsense has never been proven, and is advanced by the same conspiracy-obsessed nuts who claim that 9/11 was an inside job

  • "Trickle down" economics resulted in a massive economic expansion and probably saved our economy from complete distruction after the disastrous Carter administration. It helped ALL Americans across all income levels. Rather the "screwing" the middle class, these policies created jobs and prosperity for many. The liberals just hate to admit that their policies failed and that conservative policies work, so they distort relaity in a futile attempt to distort their nonsense.

  • Thank you for posting this. One day America may rise again with a President who fears God and acts accordingly as Reagan did years ago.

  • you hear him talking about principles. now the teleprompter of the united states does not talk about principles. just political correct newspeak gibberish

  • @manoman0 - umm, i guess you didn't happen to notice the TELEPROMPTERS that Reagan kept referring to as he READ from his prepared speech (Peggy Noonan was Reagan's speechwriter). near the beginning of this videoclip, you can clearly SEE one of the teleprompters in front of the lectern, just off to the right (looks like tinted glass). the scrolling speech is projected onto the semi-reflective surface from below and tilted toward the speaker.

  • so two things:

    1) Reagan DID read from teleprompters

    2) his 'prepared speeches' were written FOR HIM by the famous Peggy Noonan

Barack Obama's speechwriter is Jon Favreau.

George W Bush had at least several speechwriters (watch?v=O_RSQSYgGB4)

  • @techcafe Its not all about the words of the speech, but the delivery, the pauses, the stress on words and other things. One of his most epic speeches was not written for him, but by him. The "randezvou with destiny" speech (spelling is wrong i think)

  • @techcafe oops. How embarrassing. How could I forget Peggy Noonan, yikes. Thanks. =D

  • @manoman0 Yet Raegan was the one selling arms for hostages to Iranian terrorists

  • @georgekostaras ....and doing that was not nice of an actor.....

  • @manoman0 Only if you believe in "principles" like "we don't negociate with terrorists" and all that jazz

  • @manoman0 did you not see the teleprompter at the start of the video?

  • @johnthomas314 yikes! no! oh dear....

  • @manoman0 yup. I'm glad for the usa. my family barely escaped the evils of communism and i am thankful for what the usa stood for. god bless you my friend and god speed.

  • @hojoleon Well I hope you joined a tea party and are ready to help us fight to keep the country the way it should be.

    God bless and good luck.

  • these are the things EVERY president does. regardless of party affiliation. these actions do not acknowledge "right" or "wrong". There is a saying in intelligence circles and that is "you only hear about the failures of the CIA, never the successes". The only reason you hear about these particular actions is because they saw the eevning news. The History Channel interviewed one man who worked in intelligence and said "you cannot wear a white hat and work in this field".

  • Hey y dosent anyone who saw dis video like Reagan. he's awesome

  • every leader of every country does that. regardless of whether or not they are a democratic governement or on the opposite end of the spectrum. to assume otherwise is naive. governments operate on multiple levels of operation: they dont just fight for oil. not enough of a reason. it is A reason but the the sole reason. Reagan was a great president because he understood the world as it really was and thereby where it could go.

  • the best leader this world has ever seen

  • God bless you Ronald Reagan!

  • And Prime Minister Thatcher was one of the greatest, smartest, bravest women to ever live. She was Winston Churchill all over again - a fierce defender of freedom who "never gave up!" God bless PM Thatcher and the one of the Two Greatest Presidents we ever had! Ronald Reagan!

  • After Reagan was dead and after he himself was long retired - when there was no political advantage in saying so, James Baker -who knew Reagan many, many years said that he had NEVER KNOWN HIM TO TELL A LIE!

  • "every man, for his own good and for the good of his society is responsible for his development; the choices that govern his life are choices that he must make; they cannot be made by any other human being. Conservativism main concern will always be: are we maximazing freedom" Barry Goldwater

  • God Bless Ronald !

  • Hell yea

  • Reagan was a statesman the right man for the moment and a hero to many who lived under soviet might, the western world should be grateful and the US proud of this man.

  • it was the democratic congress that increased taxes fuckface

  • Whoo and blu--always say Whoo and blu!

  • if one includes the Social Security payroll tax, declined for four groups:

    For the second-highest 20 percent of taxpayers, from 22.2 percent in 1980 to 20.8 percent in 1989;

    For the middle 20 percent of taxpayers, from 13.2 percent in 1980 to 12.5 percent in 1989;

For the second-lowest 20 percent of taxpayers, from 6.9 percent in 1980 to 6.4 percent in 1989; and

For the lowest 20 percent of taxpayers, from 1.6 percent in 1980 to 1.5 percent in 1989.

  • Nevertheless, even if one counts the Social Security payroll tax, the share of total federal taxes increased between 1980 and 1989 for the following groups:

    For the top 1 percent of taxpayers, from 12.9 percent in 1980 to 15.4 percent in 1989;

For the top 5 percent of taxpayers, from 27.3 percent in 1980 to 30.4 percent in 1989; and

For the top 20 percent of taxpayers, from 56.1 percent in 1980 to 58.6 percent in 1989.

On the other hand, the share of total federal taxes

  • The answer by the way is fiscal conservative, Go Ronald -- enomics ^_^ I dont believe we need zero tax, a flat tax of 20% is fair

  • i think 14 or 15 would be fine on new things only

  • Critics often add in the Social Security payroll tax and argue that the total federal tax burden shifted more to lower-income groups and away from upper-income groups; but President Reagan's changes were in the income tax, not in the Social Security payroll tax. The payroll tax was imposed by proponents of big government over the past 50 years, and it is they, not Ronald Reagan, who should be held accountable for its distributional effects.

  • quintile, 64 percent for the second-lowest quintile, and 263 percent for the bottom quintile. These reductions for the lowest-income groups were so large because President Reagan doubled the personal exemption, increased the standard deduction, and tripled the earned income tax credit (EITC), which provides net cash for single-parent families with children at the lowest income levels. These changes eliminated income tax liability altogether for over 4 million lower-income families.

  • The proportion of total income taxes paid by the top 1 percent rose sharply under President Reagan, from 18 percent in 1981 to 28 percent in 1988. Average effective income tax rates were cut even more for lower-income groups than for higher-income groups. While the average effective tax rate for the top 1 percent fell by 30 percent between 1980 and 1992, and by 35 percent for the top 20 percent of income earners, it fell by 44 percent for the second-highest quintile, 46 percent for the middle

  • taxes actually paid and ignores the real trend of taxation: In 1991, after the Reagan rate cuts were well in place, the top 1 percent of taxpayers in income paid 25 percent of all income taxes; the top 5 percent paid 43 percent; and the bottom 50 percent paid only 5 percent. To suggest that this distribution is unfair because it is too easy on upper-income groups is nothing less than absurd.

  • HOW DID REAGAN'S POLICIES AFFECT THE FEDERAL TAX BURDEN? Perhaps the greatest myth concerning the 1980s is that Ronald Reagan slashed taxes so dramatically for the rich that they no longer have paid their fair share. The flaw in this myth is that it mixes tax rates with

  • real economic growth in the U.S. economy averaged 3.6 percent per year. From 1973 to 1982, it averaged only 1.6 percent. The Reagan economic boom restored the more usual growth rate as the economy averaged 3.5 percent in real growth from the beginning of 1983 to the end of 1990. Sad how history always seems to crush the liberal bunk (well sad for the liberals LOL)

  • You think I'm a libera? because I want to get rid of the federal income tax, and the IRS? Is that what you think a liberal is?

  • Oh right, you're talking about the credit boom of the 80's, oh that was a fantastic idea....look at how it's helping the value of the dollar. PS I want the federal income tax to go bye bye, that means I'm a fiscal conservative. How 'bout you?

  • the longest period of sustained growth during peacetime and the second-longest period of sustained growth in U.S. history. The growth in the economy lasted more than twice as long as the average period of expansions since World War II. The American economy grew by about one-third in real inflation-adjusted terms. This was the equivalent of adding the entire economy of East and West Germany or two-thirds of Japan's economy to the U.S. economy From 1950 to 1973,

  • wow sounds like you were smoking some of the best in the liberal bag of pot. Hung around with did you? ^_^

  • increased in both mandatory and discretionary accounts. HOW DID REAGAN'S POLICIES AFFECT ECONOMIC GROWTH? Despite the steep recession in 1982--brought on by tight money policies that were instituted to squeeze out the historic inflation level of the late 1970s--by 1983, the Reagan policies of reducing taxes, spending, regulation, and inflation were in place. The result was unprecedented economic growth: This economic boom lasted 92 months without a recession, from November 1982 to July 1990,

  • When people would debate him they all left the same way with a black eye. Their viewpoints shattered and their lack of any real depth exposed for the world to see. And amazingly even though he is dead now the people themselves armed with the truth of his accomplishments continue to do the same thing today

  • This Leader made the USA the envy of the world. Few times in history have there been people with such great moral vision. R.I.P. Mr. President.

  • However, means-tested entitlements, which do not include Social Security or Medicare, rose by over 102 percent between 1980 and 1993, and they have continued climbing ever since. Total spending on all national security programs never equaled domestic spending, even when Social Security, Medicare, and net interest are excluded from domestic totals. In addition, national security spending fell during the Administration of the senior President Bush, while domestic spending

  • Federal spending more than doubled, growing from almost $591 billion in 1980 to $1.25 trillion in 1990. In constant inflation-adjusted dollars, this was an increase of 35.8 percent. As a percentage of GDP, federal expenditures grew slightly from 21.6 percent in 1980 to 21.8 percent in 1990. Contrary to popular myth, while inflation-adjusted defense spending increased by 50 percent between 1980 and 1989, it was curtailed when the Cold War ended and fell by 15 percent between 1989 and 1993.

  • federal revenues declined only slightly from 18.9 percent in 1980 to 18 percent in 1990.Revenues from individual income taxes climbed from just over $244 billion in 1980 to nearly $467 billion in 1990.5 In inflation-adjusted dollars, this amounts to a 25 percent increase. HOW DID REAGAN'S POLICIES AFFECT FEDERAL SPENDING? Although critics continue to focus on President Reagan's budget "cuts," federal spending rose significantly during the 1980s:

  • were implemented. HOW DID THE REAGAN TAX CUTS AFFECT THE U.S. TREASURY? Many critics of reducing taxes claim that the Reagan tax cuts drained the U.S. Treasury. The reality is that federal revenues increased significantly between 1980 and 1990: Total federal revenues doubled from just over $517 billion in 1980 to more than $1 trillion in 1990. In constant inflation-adjusted dollars, this was a 28 percent increase in revenue. As a percentage of the gross domestic product (GDP),

  • lower taxes, further deregulation, and reduced government spending. But their rhetoric is easily countered by the evidence. History confirms the soundness of the Reagan, and now Bush, approach to economic policy. Under President Reagan, federal revenues increased even with tax cuts, federal spending did not decrease, the country experienced the longest period of sustained growth during peacetime in its history, and the rich paid more taxes proportionately than they had before the tax cuts

  • Even with the growing surplus, however, a small but vocal faction in Congress opposes any policies that would allow taxpayers to keep more of their own money through real tax cuts and that generally would shift power from the government to the people. This attempt to rewrite history should not be surprising. Proponents of additional government spending try to make the Reagan boom appear to be a bust because they fear that Reagan's success will help President Bush build popular support for

  • As Exhibit 1 shows, the economic record of the last 17 years is remarkable, particularly when viewed against the backdrop of the 1970s. The United States has experienced two of the longest and strongest expansions in our history back to back. They have been interrupted only by a shallow eight-month downturn in 1990-91.

  • well most people regardloess of party agree go flat tax, but neither repub or demoncrate will allow it because then they would have to work off a fix amount.

  • As the Joint Economic Committee reported in April 2000: In 1981, newly elected President Ronald Reagan refocused fiscal policy on the long run. He proposed, and Congress passed, sharp cuts in marginal tax rates. The cuts increased incentives to work and stimulated growth. These were funda-mental policy changes that provided the foundation for the Great Expansion that began in December 1982.

  • Congress should embrace President Bush's tax reform plan as a responsible return to the most successful economic policy of the 20th century. President Ronald Reagan's record includes sweeping economic reforms and deep across-the-board tax cuts, market deregulation, and sound monetary policies tocontain inflation. His policies resulted in the largest peacetime economic boom in American history and nearly 35 million more jobs.

  • I do not envy you maxwest333 I mean ever since the invention of books and video it is so much harder for liberals to lie these days. you have our pitty

  • if not outright reject--President Bush's tax reform proposals because they are based on a period when the wealthy received excessive tax cuts and revenue was wasted on defense even though most Americans struggled in poverty. This is a revisionist view of recent history that ignores reality and denies the fact that President Reagan's sound policies and determination deserve much of the credit for the current economic picture.

  • The Real Reagan Economic Record: Responsible and Successful Fiscal Policy by Peter B. Sperry, Ph.D See also: The Truth About Tax Rates and The Politics of Class Warfare by Daniel J. Mitchell, Ph.D. After President George W. Bush sent Congress an outline of his tax reform plan on February 8, some critics immediately began to attack it as a return to what they portray as the fiscally irresponsible policies of the Reagan Administration. According to these commentators, Congress should scale back

  • Sort of the liberal way take truth and twist it to lies. i mean its almost like you were under snipper fire the moment you hit the tar mack LOL!!!!!! LIberals ^_^ but anyway here is the truth instead.......

  • We don't know whether historians will call it the Great Expansion of the 1980's or Reagan's Great Expansion, but we do know from official economic statistics that the seven year period from 1982 to 1989 was the greatest, consistent burst of economic activity ever seen in the U.S. In fact, it was the greatest economic expansion the world has ever seen - in any country, at any time.

  • In Johnson, the Court found that a principal function of free speech is to invite dispute, which may create dissatisfaction and unrest. From this, the Supreme Court concluded that it would not be rational under First Amendment principles to limit freedom of expression based on the presumption that an audience which takes offense to certain statements may commit a disturbance of the peace.

  • The Supreme Court rulings on hate speech have left limited room for the government to protect against assaultive speech. While "fighting words" (or words that tend to incite an immediate breach of the peace) were initially labeled as speech that was not protected by the First Amendment,] subsequent cases have substantially narrowed this doctrine. The Supreme Court's current approach toward the "fighting words" doctrine is embodied by its decision in Texas v. Johnson.

  • In order to find a balanced solution to the unique problems that hate speech on the Internet creates, it is important to understand the existing structure of dealing with such issues. Flaws in Existing First Amendment Analysis

  • God blessed us with someone like him every now and then. We loved you Mr. President and rest in peace.

  • However, the global interconnection of numerous jurisdictions via the Internet makes existing state and federal laws (and even constitutions) less equipped to handle the threat of hate crimes. With existing laws becoming less significant with respect to problems in cyberspace, there is a push to revitalize or restructure present approaches in dealing with hate speech on the Internet.

  • there will never be a prohibition on crack, LSD, even weed buffoon, spoken like a true stoner. and yes in case you are also some how to stined all the time to know about sex slaves and all the other damage the (cant believe I have to even say this to anyone alive but your so stupid I guess you need it)Illegal drug trade ran by organized crime, then go to school fool. Better yet go up to a cop and ask him stoner

  • The Internet has long been recognized as a true marketplace of ideas, in which people around the world are able to present, debate, and organize information. If recent decisions are any indication, online hate speech will continue to be examined under the traditional constitutional framework established to look at speech in other forms of the media.

  • After a barrage of complaints and a request from the FBI, several Internet companies who hosted the sites decided to shut them down. The public's reaction in addition to the FBI's involvement underscores the importance of further discussion of the need for hate speech regulation in cyberspace. The Supreme Court's decisions in this area indicate that the Court does not want to destroy the marketplace of ideas concept in which good and bad ideas are presented with the truth prevailing.

  • LOL spoken like a true "pro-stoner" who cares about the 1000's of teenage sex slaves crack produces as long as happy boy gets his dime bag for the weekend. Bravo sir..bravo!

  • LOL, spoken like a true stoner

  • Virtue is its own reward. Doing the right thing is infinitely satisfying, and infinitely heavy burden because it requires you to give 100% of yourself to its pursuit. That's why it's important to be sure the cause you take before doing so. Mine is spreading the truth about Reagan's term as a great president

  • mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm............No.

  • If recent developments surrounding the September 11th attacks are any indication, there may be situations when values and ideals are so offensive, and the threat of criminal conduct from adhering to these values so real, that regulation is needed. Azzam Publications, which is named after Dr. Sheikh Abdullah Azzam, a mentor of Osama bin Laden, has recently had several of its sites shut down.

  • Based on the Supreme Court's interpretation of the First Amendment, the government's ability to protect would-be victims from hate speech has been limited. The First Amendment protects the rights of individuals to express their values and ideals even if they may offend others.

  • True, but as hate speakers those who spout only violence and unfounded bigotry destroy their own credibility.

  • I agree with you 100%

  • The First Amendment states, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

  • While new technologies can serve as great venues for public discourse, the issues of indecency, pornography, and hate speech raise significant concerns. In dealing with these problems, the First Amendment must be squarely addressed, since content regulation has traditionally been treated by courts as a First Amendment issue.

  • This fundamental conflict between the First and Fourteenth Amendments, coupled with the boundless capacity of the Internet, calls for an exploration of solutions that re-evaluate the expansive protection of hate speech in existing constitutional precedent. Until a more proper balance is established between the private interest in free expression and the interest of the state in preventing hate crimes, the current protections given to hate speech will continue to be subject to debate.

  • While the First Amendment guarantees a freedom of speech, no right is absolute if it infringes on other rights guaranteed under the Constitution. It has been suggested that hate speech is inconsistent with the principle of equality established by the Fourteenth Amendment. If the Fourteenth Amendment is to embody an antidiscrimination principle, then anything that supports and further perpetuates racial inequality should be regulated.

  • The two key measures that mark a depression or expansion are jobs and production. Let's look at the records that were set. Creation of jobs. From November 1982, when President Ronald Reagan's new economic program was beginning to take effect, to November 1989, 18.7 million new jobs were created. It was a world record:

  • We don't know whether historians will call it the Great Expansion of the 1980's or Reagan's Great Expansion, but we do know from official economic statistics that the seven year period from 1982 to 1989 was the greatest, consistent burst of economic activity ever seen in the U.S. In fact, it was the greatest economic expansion the world has ever seen - in any country, at any time.

  • In Reno v. ACLU, the Court held that "the interest in encouraging freedom of expression in a democratic society outweighs any theoretical but unproven benefit of censorship. This approach has its detractors, however; former Vice President Al Gore, among others, has contended that the existing judicial and regulatory structures are no longer appropriate in the context of the hate speech issue.

  • Furthermore, the Internet has served as an important recruitment tool for these individuals and groups.

The dangers regarding hate speech through the use of the Internet are evident. There is a fine line between the exchange of values and ideas and the perpetuation of hate in the form of degradation and violence. Despite this fine distinction, the Supreme Court has continued to protect online hate speech based on rights guaranteed under the First Amendment.

  • I love R.R. the greatest leader in the 20th century.

  • With the increasingly widespread use of the Internet, however, individuals and hate groups are able to promote hateful conduct and speech inexpensively and easily while simultaneously reinforcing each other's hateful convictions. The Internet also allows for the opportunity not only to post messages, but also to engage in conversation through chat rooms.

  • The features that make the Internet so unique have increasingly been manipulated to benefit the needs of those who spread hate-filled propaganda. Persons who display various kinds of hate are able to relay these feelings to others on newsgroups. Prior to the Internet, hate groups spread their propaganda through written materials, in a concerted effort to connect with others who shared the same beliefs.

  • The Internet has been and will continue to be a medium that allows individuals to interact, research, and conduct business with ease and speed. The vast majority of Americans do not need regulations to provide standards of appropriate or inappropriate behavior in cyberspace. There remains a small percentage of individuals, however, who need some type of regulation to prevent them from infringing upon other rights that individuals hold so dear.

  • It will then examine how this structure limits the government's ability to regulate hate speech on the Internet. This section will also explore other legal means that are being used to regulate hate speech. Finally, it will conclude by taking a look at alternative techniques that are being used to protect individuals from hate speech. Examining the Problem: The Need for Additional Regulation of Hateful Cyberspeech

  • Secondly, hate-filled speech may go beyond simply altering an individual's thoughts and may in fact lead to crimes of death and destruction arising from the exposure to such ideas. This Comment will attempt to illustrate the need for increased regulation of hate speech on the Internet by examining three facets of this debate. It will first examine existing First Amendment precedent dealing with freedom of expression issues generally.

  • I urge everyone seeing someone posting hate speech to Google department of homeland security and list who stated the hate speech along with which video it was posted. There is an anti-american boiler room operation which can been seen if you researched enough of the Reagan posting pages. Free speech is protected, hate speech is a crime that needs to be reported.

  • good, i agree with google, hate speech helps nothing.

  • Thank you fleix. Have a great night. and yes when you see clear filth posting even if it is not directed towards you, contact youtube and get these hateful people out of here

  • Free speech is free speech. All speech should be protected. You say "hate speech" should be reported as you define hate speech. The question is: who defines what is hate speech? And who will define what as "hate" in the future? Perhaps your speech in 40 years will be considered hate. It depends who is in power, and who defines hate. I say leave free speech alone, even if you dont like it. If you dont like it, dont listen, and walk away. you have that freedom.

  • As the national security of the United States has become increasingly important in recent months, the debate regarding the censorship of hate speech has again arisen. While many individuals remain wary of infringing upon First Amendment rights through the regulation of hate speech in cyberspace, some suggest that the expansive and pervasive nature of the Internet calls for such regulation.

  • He was a great president.

  • Hi susan, thank you for the email. Yes here are the highlights "1962 Registers as a Republican after years as a Democrat July 7, 1981 announces the nomination of Arizona judge Sandra Day O'Connor to become the U.S. Supreme Court's first female justice. Nov. 6, 1984 Re-elected over former vice-president Walter Mondale."

  • Mr. Reagan turned everything around. Working with Mr. Reagan's clear and compelling overview, his team designed a complex strategy of defeating the Soviets. As the renowned Chinese strategist Sun Tsu taught, he won the Cold War (which can be compared to World War III) without firing a shot — a great strategic feat. A man of vision compassion and courage, he is missed by hundreds of millions

  • Between 1975 and President Reagan's election, Angola, Afghanistan, Laos, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Somalia and South Vietnam — to name a few — had come under Soviet domination. A Soviet naval base was established on the island of Socotra, capable of intercepting vital shipping in the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea. Many believed that after the Vietnam defeat, the United States would lose the Cold War.

  • Libya was involved in an attack on American soldiers in a West Berlin nightclub. By ordering naval escorts in the Persian Gulf, he maintained the free flow of oil during the Iran-Iraq war. In keeping with the Reagan Doctrine, he gave support to anti- Communist insurgencies in Central America, Asia, and Africa. Overall, the Reagan years saw a restoration of prosperity, and the goal of peace through strength seemed to be within grasp.

  • In foreign policy, Reagan sought to achieve "peace through strength." During his two terms he increased defense spending 35 percent, but sought to improve relations with the Soviet Union. In dramatic meetings with Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, he negotiated a treaty that would eliminate intermediate-range nuclear missiles. Reagan declared war against international terrorism, sending American bombers against Libya after evidence came out that

  • In 1986 Reagan obtained an overhaul of the income tax code, which eliminated many deductions and exempted millions of people with low incomes. At the end of his administration, the Nation was enjoying its longest recorded period of peacetime prosperity without recession or depression.

  • A renewal of national self-confidence by 1984 helped Reagan and Bush win a second term with an unprecedented number of electoral votes. Their victory turned away Democratic challengers Walter F. Mondale and Geraldine Ferraro.

  • On January 20, 1981, Reagan took office. Only 69 days later he was shot by a would-be assassin, but quickly recovered and returned to duty. His grace and wit during the dangerous incident caused his popularity to soar.

  • Ronald Reagan won the Republican Presidential nomination in 1980 and chose as his running mate former Texas Congressman and United Nations Ambassador George Bush. Voters troubled by inflation and by the year-long confinement of Americans in Iran swept the Republican ticket into office. Reagan won 489 electoral votes to 49 for President Jimmy Carter.

  • Ronald Reagan was the greatest president of my lifetime. He was equally the greatest president of the 20th century and very possibly the greatest in US history. If only we could find another like him.

  • Ronald Reagan was the GREATEST President in US history!!! I look forward to meeting you in Heaven.

  • Mr Reagan, thank you Mr.Preisdent. I don't know if youtube will allow this post.
