I play Deadpool, Phoenix, and Amaterasu. I call my team the "reality breakers." Fundamentally, with phoenix you should play either super aggressive or super defensive. She has probably the best ranged attack in the game, it can whittle health bars down even as the opponents block the hits, and her super literally fills the screen. Her Flight and teleport can keep opponents out of reach and if she goes Dark Phoenix at least one opponent is completely screwed. As a Rachel/Jean fan, I'm impressed.

@AllegedPhilo Phoenix even in dark phoenix form is completely beatable, at least for me. You just have to figure out how to time her dark phoenix transformation. any spiderman ultimate web throw or she hulk air hyper throw will work on her. Also Phoenix's hyper combo is easy to beat. I've beaten her countless times by launching a shinku haduken in the middle of her hyper combo.there's a bunch of other ways too...X-23's level three or viewtiful joe's hyper which has invincible startup.

Phoenix is a better addition than, let's say Jubilee, who a lot of people wanted from the female X-Men side. But I think an important element here is a character's flash, and I think Phoenix has more of that than a lot of the roster.

The regeneration super move was given to phoenix because she is too fragile in the game:3 hits of dante took almost 1/4 of her life bar.Wolverine's regeneration in comics was perpetual,so making him recover his wounds suddenly would look a bit incoherent.Also,his health is good in the game and this kind of move would definitely make him broken.

And yeah:as a cosmic entity with almost limitless powers,Phoenix can heal herself.
