So nice to see this is still performed. I have enjoyed the simplicity of this tender song. I know the SATB, so it is nice to hear this version. Nice job, choir!
I played piano for this song in my 8th grade choir MANY years ago, and we all loved it so much that we performed it again at our HS graduation. Now almost 25 yrs later my son refers to this as "That song you always play" and he has learned it on the piano by listenng, PLUS THANKS TO YOUTUBE he now knows the lyrics as well :-) I want this played/sang when my time here is done - BEAUTIFUL song and wonderful job done by these young men!
Wow... I sang this song when I was 10. It was only a warm up song but I was so touched by it. I never knew the name nor the composer. But still, its been in my head for years and it's bothered me that I never heard it again.
Outta the blue, 12 years later, I FINALLY come across it.
Lovely song! I had the pleasure of performing a couple of other Hannisian songs whilst in junior high school choir, but this one was always a favourite. Thanks for sharing this lovely performance!
