I have yet another 2 points to share:
1) I never said finding happiness was easy (aka getting into a successful marriage). I did say that at any given time if you survey married couples and singles, you will find married couples are generally happier.
2) I did a quick search and I found that married couples are also statistically healthier
This is purely speculation, but my guess is that marriage is a sign of healthiness. Probably, the people that are ready for a long term commitment/feel like they know what they want in a spouse/emotionally understand themselves are going to be fairly happy before they enter into a relationship that might make them slightly more happy.
Side note: I keep on using the word married, but, my guess would be that these studies apply to most long term relationships.
I am a Liberal and I believe casual sex is easy and cheap. It might be ok for young adults (age 19-25) going crazy during college years, having casual sex and partying all night. But the shit eventually gets old. After 25, people should say to themselves: Casual sex, you been there and done that; Now it's time to move on to relationships.

This is not good for women. Women are being convinced these days that they are supposed to want to have multiple partners. They're not. If you just consider evolutionary science, you will see that in species which are not monogamous, it is the women who get to be picky, and the men are supposed to vie for them. This is no longer the case. It's not good for anyone, in the long run. Women don't need many partners. They just need one good one.

1) Studies have shown that married couples are more happy than single couples.
2) Studies have shown married couples enjoy sex more than single couples.
Over all though, to each his own in my opinion.
Another interesting study:
Couples with children are generally less happy than couples without children.

@CommandoDude I'm not bullshitting you. I, however, was relying on word of mouth from friends who have taken psychology classes and/or seen national surveys.
I have yet another 2 points to share:
1) I never said finding happiness was easy (aka getting into a successful marriage). I did say that at any given time if you survey married couples and singles, you will find married couples are generally happier.
2) I did a quick search and I found that married couples are also statistically healthier

2. Most couples studied only experience a slight fractional degree of increased happiness.
Marriage doesn't automatically make a relationship healthier.

This is purely speculation, but my guess is that marriage is a sign of healthiness. Probably, the people that are ready for a long term commitment/feel like they know what they want in a spouse/emotionally understand themselves are going to be fairly happy before they enter into a relationship that might make them slightly more happy.
Side note: I keep on using the word married, but, my guess would be that these studies apply to most long term relationships.

I am a Liberal and I believe casual sex is easy and cheap. It might be ok for young adults (age 19-25) going crazy during college years, having casual sex and partying all night. But the shit eventually gets old. After 25, people should say to themselves: Casual sex, you been there and done that; Now it's time to move on to relationships.

I thought about and had desires to have casual sex when I was in middle school and high school but never went through with it. I'm glad I waited until I got into a real relationship to have sex. It was more meaningful than cheap booty calls. Everybody's in such a hurry to lose their V-card only to find out the buzz about losing it is overrated.

There's a lot of pressure on women to have sex but there's a lot pressure on us guys too. Especially given that I was on my high school football and wrestling teams. Other guys and some of my teammates used to make fun of me for being a virgin in high school. A couple of guys I knew even got beat up for being virgins.
Some guys would still talk shit because I lost it at the "late" age of 21.
