I went into guitar center today and sat down at a pork pie drum set and started playing without even knowing what kind of drums they were, I was really surprised cause I had no idea pork pie even made full kits, it was one of the best sounding kits I've ever played.
um dw's are awesome drums, definitely the biggest name. they are, however, mass-production drums.... unless you call and custom order one. The neat thing about pork pie, ocdp, sjc and so on is that they are 100% custom drums that are made in a small shop...
@aidanyoubetterreply funny, after such a long that one can't remember what he had posted... happens to me too, but you're right about those Pearl series like Forum... Cheers
I like the afro-cuban tom groove at the end, nice playing. The toms don't sound very good to me...almost no sustain and the tone is not very distinct - are those coated emperors you have on there?
Good drummer. Nice looking kit. Sounds pretty flat, but its probably due to the crappy camera mic. For all the 12 yr old emos arguing over which brand is better - OCDP, Spaun, and Pork Pie all use the same Keller shells, and basically all sound the same. Pork Pie is simply the best deal pricewise.
haha yup all keller shells. its just that some companies pay more attention to detail... look at a pork pie, OCDP, and Spaun from up close. then ull be able to tell wich company has higher quality.....
you got screwed, pork pie and ocdp get there shells from the same place, the only difference is orange county like to bend you over and fuck you so hard , total ripoff
@mafiakiller1000 A friend of mine has a pork pie kit and an ocdp kit and they both sound exactly the same, well almost OCDP just charges you for the name
grande stefano !!!! ;)

spongedar1 2 years ago
One of the guy doesnt mean he defined dw drums dw drums are what they are cuz of the people that make them.

@aidanyoubetterreply
I can only agree with you about 50% on that one..pearls lower/mid levels arent really all that spectacular
But have you ever heard Pearls Reference series drums..?
I would put my money on those drums against any high level kit on the market.
they sound amazing!
huzza09 1 year ago
are you stupid? all custom companies use keller shells.. they are all the same just look different.

The only drums that are better than pork pies (in my opinion) are DW's of course and a Rogers drum kit.
Pork Pie is one of the best though.
