IN MY OPINION.....i think that vegetas majin form ss2 was equal or somewhat slightly less than gokus ss3 because while he was fightting goku he basically out classed him and goku had the advantage with his dead body being more reseiliant without that he would have been forced 2 transform into ss3 and vegeta started fighting EVEN stronger against majin buu and did more damage 2 him than ss3 goku did

Outclassed? Watch the fight again. Goku wasn't trying to win, he was keeping even with Vegeta on purpose. Plus Goku can't die again, doesn't mean he can't get weak or be knocked unconscious again. Their powers were roughly the same at that level. Vegeta was fighting "stronger" as you say against Buu, because he had taken a senzu bean which gave him a power-up.

And again, Goku wasn't trying to beat buu. He was trying to hold him off long enough to let Trunks get the radar.
