You can get a warwick rockbass which are like the squiers of fender. It's a good compromise if youre looking for a less expensive bass but still want the warwick awsomeness
I'd love to get a warwick - I went windowshopping one day and found one but it was very expensive, like $3000ish, does Warwick make more inexpensive basses for starters like myself? :D
Are Warwick basses good for low action? I intend to save a bunch of money up and get a REALLY great bass. But the action MUST be low. And when I say low, I mean as low as possible. Im fed up with basses where you cant get the action down low enough where all you have to do is just touch the fret board and the notes will ring out. I MUST have it. Are Warwicks good for this?
This one is...usualy they are not set up for low real low action from the dealer...but if you know how to adjust them you can go as low as you like. Unlike most basses you can adjust the Nut hight as well as the bridge and truss rod. Im using a very light guage string and have the action set very low (thats how I like set up mine as well)I cant speak for all models but the corvette standard is very adjustable...
Im using a Ampeg Svt 4 head and a little compression...most of the tone is the strings...Rotosound Funkmasters...they are great for slap and funk style playing
wow you are slap king, i love it... i love your bass too...

How did you get that kind of funky tone?
Did you use a pedal, and what amp are you using?
