  • I used to go there every summer. Seen her 4 times. Miss thAt whale so much. Stupid marienland the whale died because the tank was to small.

  • LETS SEE HER RIDE A BLUE WHALE !!!!

  • Most orcas and dolphins cant be released into the wild because they dont know how to survive. For example, corky, tilikum, and lolita. They cannot be released!

  • The girl looks great! Girls look better without makeup opposed to girls that look like whores with makeup. She's got a natural look. Pretty whale and girl.

  • @Crazy21Grl thanks so much, you are very kind!! I am the trainer with her and adored her. We were very close and i miss her terribly. I apprecaite the kind words!!!!

  • That girls pretty. Too bad that happened. They look natural together!

  • thats my pet she cute wale sana aalagaan ko yan pAg naka hanap nako ng pet ganiyan na fish gusto ko aken nala yan yung wale nayan

  • And than he turnes around an kills her! Muhahaha ._."

No, just a joke, but I agree - Orcas have to be wild and free..

  • @xDizzyStar It's still a paddling pool compared to where they're supposed to be

  • all this talk about the orcas attacking their trainers.... I wonder why; the trainers look like fricken seals in their wet suits!!!!

  • love the video. thanks for posting.

  • Captivity is cruel and wrong for ANY animal, especially Orcas. Even if the whale is born in captivity, it does not mean that they have a good life and 'don't know any better'. They die a lot younger in captivity, what does this tell us? The whole entire concept of keeping orcas in a tiny enclosure means that there is little diversity. If we want to maintain the existance of these beautiful, majestic animals then we need to leave them in the wild where they belong.

  • Oh my gosh I feel so bad for those whales!!! I mean I know their gona keep on bringing whales to the tanks but atleast make the tank bigger for tthem! if the trainers love the whales so much they can atleast just make it a little...well, maybe A LOT bigger thsoe poor things cant live like that ):

  • I can tell when this video was caught, this orca had just been taken from the wild not to long before hand. This pool is also illegal, it's much too small for regulation. I wonder what year this video was taken.

  • @S0XF0X Neocia was captive born at Marineland. She was the last killer whale to ever live in this pool and that was over 6 years ago. Also, if you do a quick search on the Fisheries and Oceans Canada website you will see that there are no regulations or "legal" standards for marine mammal pools. Please don't make false statements.

  • @TheLASTsummerLOVE - In all the KNOWN numbers of orca deaths in captivity is 239. It sad because thats the only ones that people know died and its not counting the deaths of orcas we dont know about D: . . but in the last couple months like metridium said its 2 trainers and 4 orca deaths. . its hearbreaking. . and wrong

  • @TheLASTsummerLOVE Since Dec.24/2009 to today 2 Orca trainers have been killed, this year to date 4 Orca have died. If you're are going to tell people to get their facts straight at least make an effort.

  • @EldaSky With two trainers killed in the last ten months not too sure how your theory holds up...

  • They belong in the wild, not cooped up in such confined tanks, cant see people living in one room for the rest of their lives perfoming tricks to be rewarded with food. These places take the f piss! Neocia didnt live for long in that hell hole!

They've never killed anyone out in the wild, only in captivity.. it speaks for itself...

  • orca thinks ''can I have my fish now stupid bitch''

  • WhatHagar about the Japanese their killing poor whales for their meet? that's just sad!

  • @EldaSky looks like your assumption was wrong haha

  • @xDizzyStar As much as the ocean?

No tank can replace the ocean. It's CRUELTY TO ANIMALS!

  • I miss seeing the trainers in with the orcas at Marineland. Their splash show is boring...and I heard Ike loved Water work when he was in Orlando...

  • @bdiggity3 No I'm not, I just loaded this video two years ago not knowing nothing about Neocia and all this. Now I know a little bit more about it , very simple Peace and Love for all

  • bam bam... bam bam... bam bam ...bam bam bam ...bam bam.....

TILIKUM will come eay you all

  • OHHH!!! yup here come the "EXPERT" Mr. bdggity he he he

  • dont know much about killer whales but this pool is tiny especilly for a whale this size!!!!!

  • Which is why they constructed the new friendship cove a few years back thats essentially 6 times bigger than this one. The tank you see in the video holds 5 dolphins now.

  • they dont have the whales in this tank anymore. they have a tank called Friendship Cove where they killer whales are located. Also at MarineLand they do not have the trainers in the water during the show. the show with the whales are mainly splashing.

  • Eh,no reason to be mean to pro captives like me...even we have to agree that poll is pretty outdated,I'm not even sure dolphins should be living in there...

  • Yha, im not Free the whales dude, but this is a way small tank for a whale. ...this is too small for a damn dolphin

  • Neocia should not have been alone or in this tank.

  • @Arcticclaws i don't know if you know but most of those places have different tanks for shows which this probably is.

  • 1)The most common training method,

called operant conditioning, uses food as a primary positive rein-

forcer. For some animals, this means that satisfaction of hunger is

dependent on performing tricks; for others, hunger is deliberately

induced so the reinforcer will be effective.

  • 2) This is not food depriva-

tion per se, for a complete food portion is ultimately provided

each day, but the use of food as a reinforcer reduces some animals

to little more than beggars. Their lives obsessively revolve around

the food presented during shows and training sessions.

  • 3) Patrons of

any captive marine mammal show can easily observe the animals

attention fixed on the buckets of food. For these animals, naturalfeeding and foraging rhythms and cycles, as well as independence

of any kind, are lost. It is difficult to accept the self-serving argu-

ment put forward by the public display industry that training

provides an adequate substitute for the stimulation of natural

foraging or the other actions exhibited by wild animals. Naomi A. Rose PhD 2009

  • I love marineland--- BUT Orcas are my favorite!

We went a few days ago- and seen they moved the whales to friendship cove. (RIP Athena) If I could do anything in this world it would be to 'train' orca's, to learn more about them and just have the ability to swim with them.

  • at least they wont be killed by damn fishermen.

  • hi I was just wondering if you were going to get new orca's since Kiska and Ike are left? and I was wondering what pool you moved the orcas into :)

  • We (well, not ME personally, but the experienced workers there) moved the killer whales into a much bigger tank. It's called Friendship Cove :) The whales have a choice of being in very deep water there OR they can swim to fairly shallow water as well. Now, I don't work with the whales personally, so I'm not sure about their names... But we do have two killer whales at the moment, and they're both very happy, as far as I can tell :)

  • well since you only hav 2 orcas left aren't you planning on getting new ones? like arn't you gonna ask SeaWorld or something becuz rlly I feel that friendship cove should only be for orcas and not beluga's they have artic cove. So you could ask them to bring some of Tilikum's sperm over to Marineland and implant it into Kiska!

  • nuuuu tilly has enough babies :P

  • they should be free in the sea

  • could it be, that the orcas in this tank longer lived then in the friendship cove? o.O

  • ohh, and great filmed, love it =)

  • if anyone knows the song please tell me!

  • great white sharks cant be kept in cages that all died that was kept its got something to do with the seceors in tthere head would mess the shark up n make it go insane

  • I remember seeing Neocia @ Marineland in 2002, which was the last time I went there. Terrible shame to hear that she died in 2004. : (

  • I wouldn't be suprised, if you fed them on Fillet of fish burgers and said,

'Have a nice day Mr Orca'

With a big god bless america cheesy grin on your face.

  • How much bigger? is it Ocean sized?

  • Beautiful Orca, Ugly girl, Ugly place.

  • The reason keeping killer whales in captivity is so controversial is not the size of the tanks, it's the fact that killer whales are more socially developed than any other animal, second only to humans. Killer whales are the only animal besides humans to exhibit a sense of CULTURE. In the wild killer whales in different regions communicate in different dialects, leading us to believe that they developed language in much the same way we did, and passing language and culture down to their young.

  • (continued) So basically killer whales are the closest thing to HUMAN that we know of. Would you be content living a life as monotonous as that of a captive killer whale? (I'm not anti-captivity I just think sea world needs to REALLY educate the public about these animals, there's so many things we can learn from them besides what they eat and how much they weigh, but the problem is that if sea world educated us on their intelligence, then people would feel bad about seeing them in captivity.)

  • Trouble is Seaworld, is what Mc Donalds is to good food, Most humans would disagree because most humans are stupid, I think Orcas are probably smarter than most humans, especially the ones that go to Seaworld and woop and clap, What are they are cheering, that Humans have broken the spirit of an awesome beast? would they cheer if they saw Orcas performing naturally in the wild?

or just watch in silent awe.

  • I agree completely with you--but I thought I heard that chimps, bonobos and apes also had culture? I honestly think orcas are just as intelligent--certainly more emotionally advanced (even more emotionally intelligent than humans).

  • that pool is WAAY too small for a killer whale!

  • americandoggie is from hell. you ugly bitch you have no family and friends

  • "Alone they are bereft of defense, and when alone they exhibit their own form of "co-operation" with those who might destroy them. In the case of the dolphin, it surrenders to us, a thing we mistake for gentleness. Having surrendered vital aspects of its survival equation when taken from the group, it is much less than a complete animal." Paul Forestell Ph.D.

  • FREE WILLY

  • Oh oh oh, he's a BITCHH!!!!! Glad he's DEAD!! Cause if he wasn't, then I would of him him instead!!!

  • ok this is wrong.....GET THAT WHALE OFF THAT POOR THINGS BACK!!!!!

  • 'There is little to be learned by watching three-ton mammals in an oversized swimming

pool... there's a fine line between teaching people to value wildlife, and parading these

animals for witless amusement. There is a danger we will see more, not less,

exploitation of wildlife - an exploitation that is all the while touted as 'educational'!'

    (Alton Chase, US columnist, 1989)

  • I think they should try it out with sharks!!!

  • I have video footage of Neocia as a very young calf with her mum. I flimed it when i was a kid on holiday in Canada.

If anyone wants to see it i will be happy to share, but i'm not good with computers so if someone can tell me how to get the footage from video to pc, then i'll gladly share. x

Will be coming back to Canada in may can't wait to go to Marineland

  • Hey!

I would love to see your footage.

    But I cannot help you:``(

  • marine land is disgusting.

  • The orca's are not doing tricks. They are natural behaviours that they would perform in the wild. .......All thats happening here is the Orcas learn to do these NATURAL BEHAVIOURS on cue and get rewarded with fish.

Have to say i'm glad the Orca's now have a much bigger place to live. That tank was way too small.

  • who vote for drop her to the orca's mouth?

  • she aint pweety

  • another small tank *sigh* =(

  • FYI, they no longer keep the orcas in that tank..

  • when i was about 9 years old (in 2001) i was at the stage and i was so happy to say hello to neocia for a first time and 3 years later, i was watching the news with my parents and my sister and when the news showed a picture of neocia and told that she passed away, my eyes and my mouth went shock and i really want really want to say right now is.. "neocia, i will miss u with all of my heart and i wish always remember me 4ever!!"

    R.I.P. CUTIE <3

  • @marxandmarzipan yeah, and when the orcas are free, they will be so used to humans that they will go up to fishing boats or end up in the bloody cove in japan. you are an insult to the british. not wonder no one likes us. much thanks from the brit across the pound.

  • o ya, then search Junior the orca whale on google and then go to youtube and search Junior the whale and press on a video that looks like a whale o and he was kept in there for his entire life

  • The tank next to it on the left is probebly where the killer whale lives.

  • doesn't it hurt the whales if you ride on their backs?

  • Humm... let me see I have to ask a Horse.

  • huh?

  • it hurts horses to ride them as well... thats one of the reasons we invented the saddle, aside from being better for us it helps the horses back

  • Ok, Yes, Totaly aggreed Tx

    !Que Viva Span'a!

  • In Marine Land they are really cool with them ..

They are really nice with whale and dolphin, they got GODLY treatment .. And they fill good, Ur a Maniac,Take it cool ..Men they are smilling in there Pond ! ^_^

  • Actually, Neocia died a couple years ago. She died at the tender, young age of 12 - when in the wild, female killer whales have been known to live to be 60-90 years old. She lived in that really small back circular tank which you can see when they swim by it. This marine park has had really 'bad luck' with orcas - in fact another young one just died there last month.

  • this is so mean... keeping animals in captivity for pleasure and making them do fucked up things! this should get fucking illegal omfg! :( SO FUCKING MEAN! how can a person do such cruel work ???

  • Do you remember when it was really 'Fun' to get a great grizzly bear and have them ride around at a circus on a tricycle? -- I agree with you fully, if you want to appreciate Orcas go out and see them in the while instead of watching these silly styles of Aqua Circuses.

  • most shamu trainers are hot. this one is hot as well - awesome

  • at 1:01 it looks like she is smiling :D RIP Neocia and her father and unborn calf and all the orcas at Marineland Canada (Hudson Algonquin Malik, Neocia, Unammed, Kanuck) and so on

  • This video was made in June 2004. I dont' no how sick she was at this moment, she just died in August 01 2004. For sure Marineland

tried to help her to get better. ( NEOCIA was the money maker )

  • Cool video. I hate that place though! Aha, I used to love it when I wa a kid, and then it just got lame. The shows aren't that good and the tank is small. Still love the video. And AnimalAbuseSucks...shut yer mouth.

  • i miss u Neocia

  • there are no orcas there anymore. just in friendship cove. so yea they did build a bigger tank.

  • Ok Not Being Mean Or Nufiin But *AnimalAbuseSucks* Yer Shut The Fck Up But Yhuu Dnt Even No Wut Yhuu Talkin Bout Cuz Neocia Is an Orca So *AnimalAbuseSucks* Shut Up Cuz Yhuu Need To Get Ur Facts Stright Cuz There No Point Makin Comeants Like Dat Wen EvreyThing Yhuu Sed Is Wrong !! There Is No Point In Yhuu Even Yhuu Comeanting This Video!!

  • Dear..*AnimalAbuseSucks* and *Anz0913* Just a minute

pay atencion and LISTEN at (:56-:57-:58)sec. Hooo...

was that NEOCIA. Ok go to *Kassykalia* channel/and read. This girl Knows what she's talking about. Thanks

  • There is no Orca named Neocia that I have seen on orcahome dot de...There is NO Orca named that!

  • OMG...Shes dead :'(((( thats y....poor thing...stupid marine parks..how did she die??!

  • AnimalAbuseSucks, there was an orca named Neocia, and that's her. The reason why you haven't seen her naame on on Orcahome is because you were looking at the "living captive orca" page. At the bottom is a page about deceased orcas. Neocia is there since she died in 2004.

Make sure you have your facts straight before you start making claims. It makes you look ignorant.

  • omg..r u going to make a big deal about this??? i just said 2 comments..here they are.. AnimalAbuseSucks-

There is no Orca named Neocia that I have seen on orcahome dot de...There is NO Orca named that!
