@MarioBrothers120 It really isn't bad, it's actually a great version. The original great fairy theme was more fast-paced, rather than calm. It felt rushed to me, but in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, it felt as if it was trying to motion and move your emotions to cause a greater effect and let you take in the scene. The only reason this sounds bad right now, is because of the background school bell and because of the editing..if you heard the original take, it'd sound better.

@cozzzmo123 I only think it somewhat closely related to the books. In the books there was a lot more dialogue and people hanging out at each other's places and lots of parties. In the movie you see no mention of Lisa Miller or any of that. The movie felt more like a fast forwarded heavily chopped version of the books at best. Only certain parts, like the beginning of vol. 1 remained. Still I liked the movie for what it is and see it as a potential cult classic, at best.

One thing i REALLY hated about the movie was that at the end, Scott befriends Nega-Scott which is supposed to be the embodiment of all of Scott's flaws, including the memories and problems he runs away from. So it's like he's befriending his flaws instead of trying to eliminate from them. Which tells me that, according to the movie, Scott hasn't changed a bit.
