Also, of the ones of your I've watched, I like this one best because you get some foreground action to take advantage of the fact that 3D works best for subjects less than 15 feet away.
Wow. Thanks for the compliment. Have you seen my other 3D videos? I've tried to configure them for more depth than this one, particularly in anaglyph mode.
Great video, could you give some detail of how the camera was modified, like what you had to remove to get them closer, do you use a lanc sync adaptor to keep the cameras in sync, if so which brand?
Thank you. The plastic casing for the cassette bay had to be removed, and some of the plastic above it was also sawed away so that there was not much if any portrusion on the right side of the camera. The cassette bay was covered with electrical tape, and is not exactly dust-proof. I sold the other camera but still have the modified one (it's not pretty but it's worked for me).
Nice footage, I watched it with the Row Interlaced (alpha test) looks great on my shutter glasses!

Nice, one of the better home brew documentary style 3d vids I've seen on here.

Could you please tell me what camera (or cameras) you used to make this?

Two Sony HDR-HC1's. The left camera was taken apart and modified to fit closer to the right camera.
