How great are the lyrics on the song! I like all three versiions (ever hear the one on Hit Parade?). Just great to hear the song. I'm taking out "Go Figure" and "Labour Day" and cranking them up later. Thanks for posting!
This is not even close to the original song, ShannonVenasse. The melody is completely different on their 1988 Labour Day album, which I bought as soon as it came out. MUCH better version.

I first got into this song when i was dating this lkeftist girl at McGill, all her friends hated me because I wasn't into their leftist views so this song really spoke to me. Ofcourse given the band's political views I always find it ironic
SOTW are one of Canada's greatest bands, but never get their due. Especially amazing live, although I think they lost a bit of their punch with the departure of Linda McRae. Still amazing though.
Actually, the original version is on their 1988 album "Labour Day", but this version is found their 1991 album "Go Figure". Trust me, I'm dead serious.
@mrceleb2006 I love their song, Darkhouse. I can't find in anywhere, I'm so desperate and frustrated. it's not even on YouTube to listen to! Where would I find the download link?... anywhere but iTunes.
Great re-mix! I remember the original song, recorded in their living room or something like that. The original was more folk, but this kicked butt! Love it!
Great Canadian song by an underrated band.

This album came out way before the big pomegranate fad too.

It's one of those songs that doesn't deserve a video: it's musically interpretive; therefor, personal.

This song was great. It's too bad Hootie and the Blowfish did sucha crappy cover of it.

This song is brilliant. A Canadian classic! I can listen to this song over and over again; thank you Linda.

Yes, the song was from "Go Figure" - but "Faithlift" was great too!
Easy to get facts ass-backwards.

This is not from their 1993 album "Faithlift", it's actually from their 1991 album "Go Figure".

..uh...no...this version is indeed from the 1993 album. The original version is from the Go Figure album. Check it out for yourself.
