I don't have Sirius and never followed Stern on the radio, I did see him on the E channel though a few times. So I don't know if the quality of the show is any different now or not but wasn't dealing with FCC cencership actually an enetertaining part of the show? Or is it actually better now with "no limitations"?

The show is certainly 'different' now. I don't think the quality of the show has been ruined by no censorship which usually happens when a show goes uncensored. I still love the show, but no Jackie and no Stuttering John makes for a different show. The main problem is that Howard has little motivation anymore. Still funny, but the old motivated Howard was funnier.

Sirius was saved by Liberty Media Corp. which lent it $530 million dollars. So, no, Sirius was preparing a bankruptcy in February 2009 but didn't actually file it. One of the big problems is Stern's gigantic salary and the show's ad revenue is way down.

Although Stern's salary is absurdly large, it's actually justified, when considering the number of subscribers he directly attracts. The most crippling albatross Sirius / XM has is the huge amount of debt accumulated when the two companies competed against each other. ( Each company attempting to outbid the other for talent and content)
