The GTR is the most non-descript supercar in the world, it's perfection, it's wonderful, and these guys manage to muck it up. Why do tuners have to even change the external look of the car anyway? Why would anyone try to take the most understated supercar in the world and try and make it look menacing. The understatement is the great thing!!! You can totally bake people that make the mistake of picking on you.

Sides I don't know how they would compare until motortrend releases their track test, or a lap around a circuit comparison.

All that i got out of this video is that AMS has tuned a GTR and has put different rims, taken out the spoiler, and is faster in the 1/4 mile by 1.2 seconds.

No horsepower reports, engine changes, or anything of use to the potential buyers or tuners.

@elementwingz AMS currently holds the fastest GT-R 1/4 miles and a record holder in the Texas Mile Challenge. You should look at AMS's Alpha 10 GT-R, 1/4 in 9.3 seconds.

This is simply just a bad review by InsideLine, AMS has far more potent GT-Rs. This is probably just a stg 1 package, or a mild upgrade by AMS.

Do some research on AMS, and you'll see that this is just baby stuff compared to what they really have.

@NakedSnakeBlGBOSS oh yea i totally get what your saying and it does it perfectly i have yet to drive a r8 but i have sat in one at a dealer it was hard to see out of it i did not like the interior that much i did like the gated shifter tho. but from a performance standpoint its v8 is to weak to justify its price and the v10 is just way to much money for what it is this is just going off of reviews i have seen online. the GTR is for sure a better mix of supercar/daily driver.

But really, if you were saying it has no soul because it lacks the fun factor compared to a car like....a Corvette Z06, then please, don't even bother with this. I've driven Z06, and compared to GT-R, yes, Z06 without a doubt is better in terms of the fun factor, there is no argument. And a reasonable price as well, this is why I love the American cars.

But you do realize GT-R's AWD system and the price have the advantage.
