@36POINTBLANK Most of the time that relates to the dta file because when it 'loads' new songs it just reads the dta files of your library.

I did all you did and I got "Unable to load song" in RB3 when I did 21st Century Schizoid Man as custom.

I converted the Frets on Fire chart and made a new songs.dta file and just went from there. It appears in the game, but when I selected it the error appears. I have the midi and .mogg file there too.

@N64AndBattleTanx Was it the dirty disc error? If it was then it's because you're using Title Update v5. Harmonix has patched their game to disallow customs.

@AwesomeKid009 You can download the latest update to download songs from the RB store. But whenever you want to play customs, you will have to manually delete the update and play offline. You can delete the update directly from your Xbox under memory settings/management.

2. when u copy the song cache on ur flash drive and get the song on the copyed song cache do u deliet the one on ur hard drive after u make the song or do u move the song cache to ur flash card at the beigning?

@AwesomeKid009 1. When you first boot up your game you can download the update if you want to play songs online. You will just have to delete the update and play offline when playing custom songs.

2. After you copy the song cache to your USB device you do not have to delete the one on your Xbox 360.

@1979tdm Now you do. Recently HMX has put out an update that block the use of custom songs. You can still play custom songs but you just have to delete the latest update to play them.

@japashishido Well you'd first need to modify a few things for it to work. I recommend downloading "RB3Maker" and using that.

@skatefreek I actually owned a new Ps3 and it broke in the first two days. I've had my 360 for almost 3 years and no problems at all. The only good thing a PS3 can be used for is LittleBigPlanet and watching Blu Rays, and to be honest that's not worth the price. Lets face it, you know this is a fight you can't win. I'd leave this video and be quiet while we enjoy playing customs on our superior xbox 360's.

@ChainsawPhoenix Yeah... GH files (Excluding GH1/2/80s) are A LOT different than RB files. I can't help you on that.

@ChainsawPhoenix The reason the song skips like that is because the mogg file (audio) does not have a correct header. The only way to generate the right one is by using Magma. As for the practice mode not working, I don't know. Probably still something to do with the mogg header.

@ChainsawPhoenix It depends. I know FoFix supports many types of differently structured midi files. If the songs you want to convert were generated from RawkSD then they should already be Rock Band ready (the midi file). The biggest issue you will probably face might be creating the mogg file.

@LinkBean That's happened to me a few times. The midi file is usually the problem. Make sure the song start and end events are correct in the EVENTS track in the midi file.

@framk20SH That file is actually not required. As far as I know, it's only used for lip sync animations. And I ASSUME it's used for camera cuts and venue animations for RB3 original songs since those mid files do not contain a VENUE track.
